I hear from my Town Team Colleague Mr Little, that he has been banned from the Forum. I had wondered why we had not seen any of his eloquent posts recently.
A duller place without him - anyway whatever happened to freedom of speech? He only says what everyone else is thinking - and I applaud that in a person. It makes for a spirited discussion which we don't all have to agree with, but makes a jolly fine base for a debate.
I think some placards are in order

All together now...
"What do we want?!"
"Little!!"
"When do we want it?!"
"Soonish!"

I think it is pass the time and Mr Mcsweeney should lose his job on the forum and be banned himself.

I think, Mr. Matcham Sir, that Howard should indeed be afforded a holiday, but I fear this could only lead to more work for Chris. Hopefully the off-site feedback received by our stalwart masters includes praise as well as complaints.

I agree with my erstwhile River Primary School chum Simon Crowley that David Little should be reinstated to the forum pronto.
What was he barred for anyway?
Cheers,
Andy

Free speech?...
"Makers of the cereal Weetos have apologised for a marketing blunder that saw a new promotional campaign use a Scottish slang term for male genitalia.
The product box features a range of cartoon moustaches with a variety of labels, one of which is "Big Baws".
"Big Baws" is described on the box as being as tall as a mountain and strong as a bear, but the term has an alternate meaning in Scotland.
Packs of the cereal are now going to be redesigned.
The cereal makers Weetabix say it was meant to be a play on the phrase "Big Boss".
They have now agreed to change it, having realised that the innocence was lost in translation north of the border.
A Weetabix spokeswoman told Sky News: "The current Weetos pack features a series of cartoon moustaches, one of which is named "Big Baws" which is a play on words for "big boss".
"We now understand that this phrase might also be interpreted in a different way in Scotland and are therefore working on amending the pack.
"We are sorry if this has unintentionally caused offence in any way.""

This is not the first time really interesting and informative posters have been suspended or banned to use a more emotive phrase.
Upset some and that is the end of you, while others can offend at will.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

Ah Mr Stevens Sir. Do you still have lovely neat handwriting and immaculate French? I expect so!
I had thought that this travesty would have been sorted out by now

Do we live in a Dictatorship? Are we going to put up with this evil form of apartheide? I may have to organise a rally.
Maybe a revolution is required?

david is a friend of yours so you would have heard his side of the story and i am certainly not going to divulge the contents of any private conversations/e mails on an open forum without david's permission.
jan
who are the interesting and informative posters that have been given the boot?
i can honestly say that i have ever deleted/edited any posts attacking me only other members, a look at today's stuff from cllr matcham will prove my point.

Well, the pre-rally could start then, but I don't think it will be effective at that time in the morning.
However, we could storm the baricades at 9am after the bacon rolls and hot chocs perhaps?
Jan, this is the problem. I was banned once for daring to have an opinion contrary to the management. Me have an opinion? Never! Any road up this must be resolved. We cannot have articulate agitators being banned even if we do not agree with them! Cricky he will poisoned or shot next!
Please switch him back on

Tom, that is ,undoubtedly, one of the funniest things I have read all week.

Howard is there not an arbitration panel that appeals against banning or transgender defamation etc can be heard. It could be a way to counter charges of an absolutist state (even if it is enlightened)
