i believe that in calais all busineses have to be members of the chamber of commerce who then arrange things like christmas light and decorations.
True so true

I had to walk down to the Marina Hotel yesterday by the time I returned to Pencester Road the Christmas Lights were on .They look very pretty and the ones in Market Square are very effective.Well done DTC who have limited budgets .
Due to government cut backs my Christmas lights are not as good as they could be

That's not your house Alan.
People in St. Rads and Buckland, as well as Tower Hamlets and here in Maxton, Elmsvale and Priory, have Christmas lights and some very good ones too - your decision Alan is not because of Government cutbacks, it's because you choose not to.

We will put the same ones we have had for years now and still working,
This was a post on Face book which was a joke, Howard asked me to post it on here if I had a house like that it would not be in Dover

i am bereft about your poverty, i blame the cobbled together government.
i think we as a forum should club together to buy a bowl of gruel for her christmas dinner with a horse chestnut to follow as dessert.

Sorry Alan - sorry I took it seriously.
Do you think the Forum "Do" would be an appropriate place to raise those funds Howard ?

Even my daughter when she was on benefits with two boys managed to buy an outside decoration.

Turner's lights weren't on tonight. I'll go down tomorrow late afternoon.
I'm showing two for Mascarada as the longshot doesn't give the window detail.

I love Loiuse's 'When Santa Got Stuck Up The Chimney' theme it is so evocative of Christmas past.
What a shame Turners do not have their lights on in the evening.
