Nigel Farage certainly has a way with a quick quip, it would be interesting to see him liven up Parliament -
UKIP leader Nigel Farage said: "If the Conservatives hadn't split our vote we would have won."

It was the post vote that stoped UKIP geting this one,but what will happen at the county seats now,and I might just go for one of the Dover ones yet,I think UKIP will get one or two but off who I would hope it would be red one but they only have one,so looks like it will be blue ones again.

Mr Williams you might be fooling yourself but that is all.At this time if that had been Dover the blue MP now would be looking for a new job,the public do not like him anyway so he will go next time.

Actually Vic, I sense that the public do like him and in particular, the People's Port campaign has done him a great deal of good, stopping DHB and now moving towards a communitisation of the Port.;

Its quite clear this is a disaster for the conservatives, although this was a big protest vote,
and UKIP were the ones to gain some votes,
but of course as i predicted the lib dem would win
tories come a bad third and UKIP get protest vote
not enough to ever win, but damage one party or other.

ukip are now the biggest party on here judging by the members who make clear a party allegiance. ed coming out of the closet has seen to that, i suspect there will be more defections on here yet.

a new world order is emerging on the forum, the days of arguments over left and right are over - much as in the country itself.
the much maligned yellows hung onto their seat and ukip followed them home closely. the blues and reds making stammering noises with their excuses.

Howard your right,
but of course the tories coming 3rd will see the party tear itself apart
one side of the tory party wanting to move to the right(opposed by the mouse)
and the other side wanting to stay in the middle ground
a no win situation for the mouse

agreed keith but what about the reds with their clueless leadership?
only just over 2 years to a general election they cannot just rely on the cobbled together incompetence, they have to promote themselves as a party that could govern.
