The reds were out in force this morning campaigning against the iniquitous coalition and their sell off of the NHS.
Recently elected mayor and all round councillor Pam Brivio in the centre.

I heart the NHS.
I hear doctors, nurses and consultants up and down the land rejoicing that the NHS is now saved with nothing more than a hand written note on a sandwich board in a small South-eastern town.
Proof, if needed, that all this canvassing lark really works.

There are plenty of mosques in her old stamping ground (the other Tower Hamlets). I was stuck in traffic outside one in Poplar just the other day.

Thanks Keith - that makes scary reading.
I made a comment recently about the people who come here from overseas because they are not happy where they live; the first thing they want to do is change it to the same kind of society they left, then no one is happy - us or them.
Almost as soon as we start speaking about this kind of thing, we are accused of racism, but this is not racism, it's about religion, a twisted version too.

The gathering of the labour party's looked after public sector.
I wonder if the door knocker where telling the residents the council tax will be going up to give them a wage increase.

Most people in the private or public sector do not work at weekends.

Clair and her supporters set out their stall, literally and metaphorically, in Deal this morning on the theme of saving the N.H.S.
I suspect it is too late now.

Another busy day for Clair, here chatting to Nigel and Janice May collecting for the Demelza hospice.
And attending the Deal hospital fete.

The heading is the Reds are back in town.
Well come the next election I think that is the only place they will be.
They have lost so much support with their running of the town council here in Dover that it will show up at the next Gen/Election.
As said in the local press it is time to see the end of this very poor showing of a town council with well over 1 million pounds siting in the bank + all the land they own around Dover and yet they will not agree in keeping one town loo open in the town centre .I think it is time they were made answerable for their very bad showing and actions over the pass two years.
How that can be done I do not know yet but something has to be done .

I don't see much change at town council level, more's the pity, different at district though with UKIP putting up over 30 candidates next May.

If the existing DTC councillors are properly challenged at the next election there could easily be a change, the main problem will be the sheep who simply vote for party rather than the best candidate.

Clair being given a tour of the "Spirit of France" today by P & O, subjects discussed were sulphur emissions, zero hours contracts, training and the future of the business.

Team Clair were out doorstepping people in Deal with a petition over the street light turn offs by KCC, this is becoming a political hot potato.

Even their own party have cut her funds off for the GEN/Election.
