What is all this talk of 'parachutes' and 'sheep'...all this 'silk' and 'wool'? Could this be code for, "trouble 't mill"?

Very true. The other partys need to be doing the same if they want to win seats and the Gen/Election,get nowhere by just siting on their backsides ,the reds have always been the same in Dover they have alot of unpaid workers that getout all the time not just afew weeks before any election and well done to them for doing it they are are working for a party they trust in. and it will pay off if the other partys do nothing to stop them.

I do not think our blue MP will be standing next time round he does not have the public support he needs to get in,and even lost some of the support of his own party. And I also think his heart is not in the job so if I am right the blues need to replace him now and not wait,if he is to stand again then he needs to do what the reds are doing get out there and sell to the public both his party and himself.

Electioneering has changed a lot over the years,
Im sounding a bit old fashioned but the old style knocking on doors is a far better way to meet people face to face whether they support you or not.
Much more telephone canvassing goes on these days, although this has its place, face to face the far better way.
Labour has always had the saturday meet the party attitude, which is good and im sure will help
but i also like the priory labour candidate who on top of this is also door knocking once a month, and leafleting
very active.

Im not sure how much this electioneering does to change anyones minds on how they vote,
but it does stop those people who say " i never see my cllr " lol
Picking up issues from door knocking always helps, and you do then get the relationship and respect of the electorate,
just putting leaflets through doors, does little as these leaflets come through from all parties, and advertising all the year round
and a lot of people dont even read them.
its face to face contact peter's got the right idea in priory

first picture shows carol errington who used to work in the office
also a great believer in women should get jobs on merit /through selections but not always willing to take that view to the end.
That said without people like Carol Errington im sure the labour party would struggle

As I have always said the reds are far ahead in geting out there talking to the public again the above post is rubbish I do not see any of UKIP members doing what they do yet they still think they will do well in Dover,I do not agree with that, when I was chairman we was out doing what the reds do in both Deal and Dover, what seed you plant is what you will reap so the yield for UKIP will be very small helped along in the way the above member posts cost them votes all the time. But that is good news for all the other partys and my own plans.

indeed the reds win hands down on the issue of meeting the people face to face, today the issue was mainly about how much dave and george are costing us all.
a good turnout of volunteers including our long standing previous mp and possible future mp.

They need to go to places where they can win votes not their home ground they will get them anyway, but it is River, maxton areas like that but what do I know?
