Plenty of Labour grandees find their way around the Grammar school conumdrum, they send their children to fee paying schools. Dulwich College, where that nasty Mr Farage attended, is the chosen venue for Baroness Shami.
The vast majority of Labour voters (this is a thread about the Labour party) are decent, honest people, it's the hypocrites that run it that I'm happy to berate.

HARD FACT - Labour doubled its membership in Witney and vote in by-election went down 43%.

Two reasons for that in my view, firstly the newer intake prefer social media and public rallies as opposed to stuffing leaflets through doors and canvassing support. Secondly the Lib Dems have been courting disaffected Labour supporters with great success which is surprising given that they have been more left wing than Labour until recently.

According to my son who lives fairly near Witney is a fast expanding area, therefore the demographic has probably changed.

Lots of the young will vote labour especially over the looming housing crises and high rents.
The conservatives just don’t seem to see this one coming.
