Labour will win with a big majority , not because th e y are any better , but because the Tories look as though they want a term in opposition to regroup .
I think Elphicke must have been o n e of the quietest MPs Dover has ever had .
Of course she promotes now and again the failed tory policies .
If course unlike the last poster she was at least elected to her position.
Rather than being appointed as no one else wanted the job like the last poster.
The only maybe brighter point is that quite a number of these so called true blue or red seats have fallen and shown that opinions are fast changing .
Where as in the past the Tories could rely on the blue rinse brigade it appears that's no longer the case.
I'm not sure Labour keep saying it's going to keep to Tories budget for at least two years will lose them some seats .
Again it's going to be the growing number of non voters that could decide some seats.

At crabble yesterday Famous Labour supporter ' OUR NEIL' introduced himself, and it appears even he is starting to lose faith in Starmer.
I think that's some of the problem, where as in the last days of Thatcher , Blair made sure no one was going to stop him getting to number ten, this time round Starmer has played up to the national press whilst at the same time getting rid of those that actually believe in a Labour party/govt.
With Neil we covered a bit of the issues in our brief chat (got my own tea lol)
I think anyone with any kind of passion in politics should be concerned if they want a real Labour Govt.
Over to you Neil ......

Oh yes, I forgot the tea

Next time, one in the wood.
Yes, even I am concerned that we are looking a little Tories 2.0. Let's see what happens with the manifesto - that's what matters and I am sure I will be reassured. I get it though; he's just offering competence at this point. That's enough for most right now.

Neil
It's the most 'bit ' we will have to disagree on.
Most are not going to vote , as they are no real difference between the present Tories and Labour.
I'm sure you recognise that ,
That's the bit where we differ, I can't blindly give Starmer the idea every is behind him , where he could do as much damage as the present Tories .
Just wanting to be rid of a corrupt govt isn't enough to blindly vote another one in that could be, and sounding like they will be, much the same.

It ain't over 'til the large-boned person on the gender alphabet soup has sung.

Starmer in a recent interview was viewed as boring .
This didn't bother him!
Maybe the slip up in the recent election in Hackney might make him think .
The London vote normally Labour in a lot of areas , could see seats lost due to
Starmer

I hope Ray is ok.
We have had our differences in the past but it is a shame when our regular interesting contributors stop posting, he does not rely on links or one liners to keep the group alive.

Indeed, I like all that contribute , whether or not we agree.
The forum itself would be boring if we all agreed.
Joining others , hope Ray is ok

As we head into a general election with little to choose between the two main parties .
Many more probably just won't vote .
Sad reflection on today's politics
