The PIP breast implants problem is still with the NHS to solve.
Majority of Private Medicine Companies have refused to correct their surgery to the women that used them and provided
profit for their companies.

Was I the only one to burst out laughing when that lady on the news said: 'Having the implants removed was a huge weight off my shoulders'?.

Millions spent on doctor gagging orders by NHS.
90% of severance agreemens of doctors departing the NHS have confidentiality clauses to prevent whistleblowing regarding
Patient safety.
£ 3 Million tax payers money has been paid out.
170 doctors interviewed but the figure could be larger.
No wonder Lansley did not want Public to see the ``Risk Register``

Get rid of the NHS, that's the only answer to that unmanageable monster.

I see some people want to get rid of those who are responsible for all our advances in medicine, the efficient part of our health system and to destroy choice.... all part of a political dogma.

i have been very happy with the service i have received from my g.p's since moving to dover.
nothing to do with political dogma just getting cured of something.
had a problem for about 6 months having cramp in one or both legs early morning and problems with one or both wrists locking at odd times.
one visit to my latest quack, a young bloke possibly somalian gave me a prescription that solved both problems instantly.

The NHS is here to stay, they may damage it but it will recover but it can never be perfect but it will always be better than
Private and two tier.

the alternative as far as i can see is an insurance based system, anyone who has ever had a pet knows how that is set up.
it would be down to the amount paid as a premium.

Howard - in your post #855 you ignore what has been said here before. Yes, an insurance based system but one like they have in Germany, You cannot make the daft comparison that you have tried. The NHS system is failing and inefficient and I think the British people deserve something better.
I really cannot figure out why some people prefer to defend a second rate failing health system, the NHS, instead of getting for everyone in the UK the quality of care to match the best in the world. Caring more about a system than people - so much for the the compassion claimed by some on here. Compassion my backside...

The N.H.S., here to stay, under the conservatives, and listerning to cameron and even our own barryw, it appears they want to dismantle it bit by bit.
Improve it yes, dimantle it no

Brian, once again you ignore what you have been told, affordability is not an issue at all. You have been told how the system works in Germany.
