Now we need Alex as the policeman and PhilipP as the crocodile.

Did I hear someone taking my name in vain? Outrageous I tell you, outrageous!
Don't really see myself as a crocodile, more of a Messiah figure.

Not the Messiah but a Very naughty Boy, Philip? And is that prophet before or after tax?

scotchie;
it is just those type of pictrures at others which cause offence
not realy bothered about the pictures but clearly you have strong tory opinions and often just want to be critical of reg
this is of course your right, and of course ridicule is one way
with regard to your comments barryw, your still under the impression that everything barryw says is correct, and others such as myself incorrect
that to is fine and an opinion.
But this does not mean your correct, many times your not and we disagree.
as i'v said before, the forum going back to the dreary days of being a another
tory propoghanda machine thankfully are long gone.
We are now enriched by posters from a lot of differing views from political and non political backgrounds and it's all the better for the forum
on the subject itself, sarah i often agree with your posts but hope you will allow me to disagree on this occassion.
I fully understand your belief in the reforms(sadly i remain unconvinced)
seeing how things are at present and many have tried to explain this but just been poo pood by those pro the reforms which is sad.
I havn't seen a poster that hasn't said the N.H.S. needs to be adressed, where the problems are is how this is achieved.
At present hospitals(some) have gone down the private route, and we have seen how private catering has just cut corners, paid staff poorly, and created a poor service.
that's just one example.
In days of old when there was a matron who ran the hospital and had full control the hospitals were a lot better run.
I don't think many would disagree with doing away with layers of managers
probably who achieve little.
unfortunatly many of us have seen the promises that PRIVATE IS BEST but then seen the outcomes which are quite the opposite.
Sorry if this post is a little long, but there has to be some balance

Hi keith I don't think I have ever said I believe in the reforms what I have doe is try to explain them when asked Each time I have done that I have tried to make it clear that No one knows the real effect until they come into force.
What I have always said is the NHS is unsustainable as it is. Some staff are very good some are appauling It has become an organization that appears to be more aligned to replicating itself than looking at client care on the groundfloor
What I also won't do is be aligned with any reform purely because a particular political party has thought of it

Keith, Paul is not politically aligned, as far as I know, but I see his pictures as lampooning those who are. I am sure he would be mortified if he had caused you any offence.

Cheers Keith
Sarah has again said it for me! It isn't - it SO isn't - about party politically aligned reforms. For me it is about fixing it and not doing nothing. The resistance to reform appears to me to be the point at which party politics enter the game, sadly.
