"scotchie; it is just those type of pictrures at others which cause offence not realy bothered about the pictures but clearly you have strong tory opinions and often just want to be critical of reg this is of course your right, and of course ridicule is one way"
Sounds like a serious sense of humour bypass, why is that offensive?? You, Barry and Reg are in there, I am perhaps ridiculing the farce these posts often descent in to !
I have absolutely no political views at all as I have said before, the whole thing bores me to death. Every 'colour' is just as bad as the other and in most situations will do 99% the same as what the other will do !
I occasionally look into the political threads to see what is going on as the subject in them regularly changes
If Barry posts rubbish I will tell him, if Reg does I will tell him, unfortunately I cannot understand most of Reg's cryptic postings and I can make sense of most of Barry's.....
Been nice knowing you :)

courtesy of the independent.
A senior health professional faces disciplinary action after signing a letter to The Independent opposing the NHS reforms and provoking accusations yesterday that ministers are presiding over a "top-down bullying policy" designed to silence critics.
The medical professional, who has not been named, has been summoned to a meeting with the chief executive of his trust to explain himself, MPs were told yesterday.
The Independent can also disclose that the Liberal Democrats are confident of winning further concessions within days to provisions in the troubled Health and Social Care Bill to increase competition.
"Concessions" does not imply failure, it implies that conversations are being had. That is perfectly usual during this kind of reforming measure. It is how things are made better.

I loved the cartoons, but at the risk of offending those of a delicate nature I apologise in advance.

Interesting article.............correlation of Cameron & Thatcher summits...................
Both had summits with `selected` specialists.
Thatcher had hers with the Poll Tax when also amid growing crisis.....
Both cases involved cabinet ministers against and after both summits both leaders stated they would go
ahead regardless.
There are deep parallels between what is happening now and in the Poll Tax in the late 1980`s.
Neither of the two proposals were in their tory manifest`s.
Both Cameron and Thatcher stated there would not be a `U`turn.............
In Thatchers case the Poll Tax was scrapped..............under a different leader...........
Will history repeat its self ?......

I would think that maggie learnt her lesson with the unpopular poll tax
cameron also hopefuly will learn we are not all in this together on the health reforms, in fact many are isolated by his reforms

dave is not as stoical as thatcher he is more like a reed in the wind will bend when it suits him.
he comes across with authority when he speaks but has no actual beliefs so can change course very easily.

You hardly have to scratch the surface of some of the opposition to reveal the political agenda. Rather than being Cameron's poll tax I think it will play out more like the miners' strike.

Wouldn't want this thread to lose it's original title, so although there is a lot that could be added to the list, the original thread heading is where we should concrentrate
