Bob must be psychic or he is on twitter, having looked into my crystal ball I see Sir Peter as Press officer and Political education officer, best he starts the latter with Mr Corbyn.

Isn't that usually when people are voted into these positions - or are you saying that's not how it works?

If that is the case they must have very short years locally, probably due to an EU directive.

Lee Kettlewell told me during the Labour Leadership contest that he was voting for Jeremy Corbyn, of course at the time I kept it in confidence.Momentum have 2 sure winners in Simon and Lee.
Mike Eddy must be very proud of gogetters Simon and Lee.

Rumour also has it that/I have been reliably informed by someone who knows a man who works for RailTrack etc etc.
1) Line from Dover to Folkestone is going to be permanently closed but RailTrack don't want to tell us for some reason.
2) That whilst the line between Folkestone and Dover is closed RailTrack will be offering free 'hoverboards' to passengers to commute where the track is missing.
3) That whilst the track is being replaced RailTrack are going to rent out the tunnels to the Home Office as temporary accommodation for Syrian Refugees at such a high price that it will pay for all repairs to track (see Hotels all over the country!)

There is a train company in Margate who needs help at the moment. Any advice welcome.

No. But NetworkRail hasn't told us anything either so it works both ways?

Howard, you may be interested to know that Cllr Peter Wallace is delivering flyers advertising a film being shown on the 13th April at the Silver Screen Dover at 6pm.
The film is called A Syrian Love Story..The film is about the struggle of a Syrian family as they move through Europe on the refugee trail from Syria and Turkey..
keep an eye on your letterbox..
I am sure, Peter will mention this on his election leaflets in 2020.

Had two through the door yesterday about an hour apart Peter and wondered how this organisation "Samphire" could afford to hire a cinema for an evening with free admittance to see a multi award winning documentary.
They don't seem to have a website or Facebook page so I messaged Peter yesterday asking for info on them. No reply yet but I believe he has started a new job recently so may be too busy.

Just to add. Following showing of the film. There will be a Refugee Awareness Discussion involving the audience.
Hopefully Brian and you will attend and take part in the discussion?
I am not aware that Diane Abbott MP or Bunny La Roache will chair the discussion.
I am sure Cllr Ben Bano,Cllr Mike Eddy,Cllr Simon Bannister,Cllr Pam Brivio etc will attend..The event is free of charge.
Cllr Ben Bano has a new title apart being Labour Group Leader at Deal Town Council etc.
In a letter sent to Mercury last week,Group Leader Bano placed on record his new title..The new title is,Euro Champion! I do not know if being Euro Champion means that Ben has more Euros than anyone else or he supports joining the Euro zone?

Interestingly whilst we are pratting around giving Political Asylum to anyone who can walk through the tunnel and agonising over a couple of hundred chancers who have fetched up at Calais the USA is kicking out nearly half a million unwanted 'immigrants' a year (which co-incidentally just happens to be the estimate for the number in London overstaying, illegally here and working in breach of landing conditions)
But then, if I were an Iraqi for example, perhaps I'd be wanting to tell lies for loads for free stuff in the UK as I flee for my life from Baghdad's thriving restaurant sector.

It is time to draw a line under this one .The forum is getting less members of the public looking in or taking part because we keep beating the same old drum.

Any member can start a thread on anything that interests them, sadly the majority don't, just another reason that the forum is going into freefall.
