It always surprises me how our politicians take umbrage at having their mistakes corrected, you would think they would be grateful for the clarification, after all we all say things in error

There are errors and there are errors Reg and naked ambition has no time for being held to account. After being cheated out of being Mayor Peter has decided that prospective parliamentary candidate in 2020 or maybe before now that Clair is out of the equation demands that his erroneous statements are not picked up on by the hoi polloi.

Howard that's sad news especially when you are a constitutient in his ward and gave a lot of coverage of Clair last year.Peter W always seems amiable when I have seen him.Clair and Peter not promoting New Kinder Politics which Corbyn said they should be doing.

It will be of interest to know, according to the Twitter account of Kent Anti Racism Network.Round 3 of Demonstrations and possible disorder will take place in Dover on Saturday 2nd April. K.A.R.N are having a meeting on Wednesday to discuss tactics. K.A.R.N have found out that the Far Right want to march in Dover on the 2nd April. There is dismay by K.A R N on this. The comment was posted which said about the Right Wingers, I quote.
Why don't the Fxxkers, Fxxk off and die..
Charming.
Hopefully Charlie Elphicke and the Police will read this and do something this time

Heard about that one a short while back and got called many things by KARN by suggesting that they would not be welcome here, the nicest was being called a Nazi!!
They are purely and simply anarchists that dislike anyone or anything they come across unlike "Dover stand up to racism" who are well meaning but gullible people that allow themselves to be infiltrated easily.
The most sinister group is "Momentum" as pointed out by our salty friend not long ago as they will infiltrate the former "peoples's party" and will be a force for change at the next general election. Make no mistake the Tory's will be leaderless by July and whoever takes over is facing an economic crisis irrespective of the referendum result. Further austerity has already been predicted by our esteemed Chancellor.
Best not to think who will take the reins of power.

Momentum is as any fule kno is mass times velocity.
There's quite a few local Labour councillors who are not short of the former at least!

I live well outside Peter Wallace's ward but as an outsider he has always struck me as an excellent councillor who takes a genuine interest in Dover as a whole.
I am surprised he would block Howard for simply disagreeing with him but that is what happens with politically minded people, I am blocked on Facebook by Augusta Pearson and Sue Nicholas.

I think you've summed it up nicely Jan, such a pity when an otherwise excellent councillor resorts to such tactics, Keef has been blocked too despite his long years of service in the ward.

Things are getting curiouser and curiouser as Peter's has closed his old account and opened a new one so that all previous posts have disappeared forever. I will be interested to see who he adds to his friends list.

Sue, I have never visited your Facebook page, it was on other Facebook pages where you had posted that I could not see what you had posted, therefore had to rely on others to enlighten me.

Keef has been blocked by Peter W? Keef has been lately ,writing letters to Mercury and Express giving the Labour message. Obviously Keef is the wrong sort of Labour.

Peter has two Facebook accounts now, the question now getting back to thread title is how the local party stand on the key issue of immigration.
Will they provoke trouble again in April or have they learned a lesson, furthermore will they distance themselves from the anarchists that have caused so much trouble here and in France.

FWIW Lee Kettlewell and Simon Bannister are Chair and Secretary of the Dover & Deal Labour Party. They certainly got my vote!
