whoever wrote the socialist party of great Britain's tract must have been smoking something interesting at the time.
There may be a delay Howard as they've a long way to come and the carriers may find it difficult balancing the boxes of leaflets on the lorry axles!

fascinating to watch the battle of the down market right wing tabloids bob.
both give their readership what they want to read but the express has thrown its weight behind ukip and the mail tries desperately to rubbish them at every opportunity.

the polling stations are about to close and the perennial question has arisen today.
should voting be compulsory as it is in some countries?
I say yes as long as there is the opt out of the spoiled ballot paper option for people whose religious beliefs stop them from taking part.

A simple remedy that would avoid any confusion would be only UK citizens or those who have lived here for at least ten years can vote in any election.

I think that would be too complicated to administer, the present system seemed to work well until this arose.
I wonder what happened to postal votes.

Postal vote here too, I have moaned about it before but there really should be other places to vote than closing schools for the day! the difficulty for working parents in arranging child care is grossly unfair!!

one of the arguments against postal voting is that people don't get to hear all the comments before yhe vote.
I only made my decision on the evening prior to polling.

The only thing that keeps us free is the voting system, and democracy , there should be no room for fraud or manipulation.
