Howard, Mr Scobie is not a MEP candidate. Mr Scobie is the Labour parliamentary candidate for Thanet South..24year-old Mr.Scobie previously was at University. Occupation unknown but he is a KCC councillor .
I agree with your view. Negative politics and lack of knowledge about all candidates is not good for democracy but at least you know about the UKIP candidates. My work conveying the UKIP message is not in vain.

thanks for info peter, proves my point about how low key everything is, I normally have my finger on the pulse for parliamentary and council elections.
the euro's never catch my eye in the same way as we don't vote for candidates and usually they don't go out of their way to make themselves known.

And if Labour get in, District or Government, we'll be down the tubes again as is always the case - and we'll be stuck with the EU.
What is it about Labour that people think are so wonderful ?

Beats me roger. Back in the 20s and 30s I would definitely have voted labour, probably after the war too, but the present lot are awful in so many ways.
I'm amazed how working people still believe the Labour Party stands up for them, fortunately on my travels around more and more are catching on and supporting UKIP.
A 24 year old representing them next door to us, how on earth can this young man relate to the problems people face? He's barely out of college.
The problem of course is tribalism, a % of people simply vote for a red or blue rosette without considering the consequences.
My task is to challenge people to think differently, it was obvious in the town hall on Friday Charlie is going to have to up his game, even his supporters are restless.

I think the reds will not show up well in the EU Elections and if that be the case they will change their minds before the next Gen/Election and tell the public that if we are voted in then we also will give you the vote on the EU,
Without doing that they will not get in next year.
It will be a outright win for the blues or if UKIP get seats then they might need their help to stay in power.
I could be wrong but that is how I see it going.
I can see the LEB/DEMS coming last in both elections and that will mean they will have to sort out and change their leader and policy.

Vic, the only certainty in the euros is the Tories coming 3rd. At the bookies UKIP are odds on favourites to win.

I doubt that many think the reds are wonderful roger, more a case of the others being either no better or worse.

"more a case of the others being either no better or worse."
Perceived to be no better, or worse I would say - much different to actually being so Howard.

There's not a fag paper between the two main parties, both pro EU, love high taxes and govt waste, pro immigration, soft on crime, hate grammar schools, both run by out of touch twits that have never had a job. Cameron is weak, disingenuous and unprincipled.
The Euro elections will frighten the life of them both.

Substitute Cameron for 99% of tory politicians actually.

let's look at the available evidence, the reds spent money as if it was going out of fashion, then the blues take it out on the most vulnerable whilst we plunge deeper into debt.
bit more than perception of the parties roger.

That sums it up quite well Howard.
If you were to talk to Roger I'd bet my last penny he'd be
Anti EU
Pro grammar schools
Anti uncontrolled immigration
For more police and tougher sentencing
But he represents the tories.
Work that one out.

Roger, thanks for that, you politely confirm my point about tribalism.
Its time people started voting for what they believe not the colour of the rosette.
