Ralph Barton Perry was an American philosopher-lite who changed his mind throughout his life. He started out with a naturalistic theory of value but later became a bitter cynic. His quotes would have some value if he had stuck to the principles they illustrate, but he didn't.

The electorate want an end to the EU, its only the politicians with their snouts in the trough that want to stay in

The (National and EU) politicians also seem to think that the electorate are not intelligent enough to make an informed decision; not one that they'd agree with.

That certainly applies to your boss Roger. You're a decent man with strong traditional values, I've no idea why you align yourself with such charlatans.

people a lot older and concerned about jobs and being undercut on wages, unlike these very young highly educated professionals that don't have the same fears.

thanks for that info brian, surprised to see we have 10 mep's, have only heard of 2 of them.
I wonder if any of them have actually done something that has benefited the constituency.

1. Surprised that there are not more MEP's; it's a very lucrative gravy train!
2. I suspect that one puzzles them too Howard......stop asking difficult questions!

There's 750 of them Bob, each one costs in excess of £1m pa in total.
And all the politicians in the main parties love it.

had all the leaflets in now except for the yellows, mostly uninspiring as the reds and blues aimed a lot of stuff more relevant to the next general election.
the green one was centred on Europe and the achievement of their mep, one of which was protecting worker's right - pity they didn't try to protect jobs.
whoever wrote the socialist party of great Britain's tract must have been smoking something interesting at the time.
