we have all grown used to negative campaigning but we seem to have hit a new low, most of the repartee seems to be about who is the most racist, who has said the daftest thing on social media and past history of candidates.
I haven't heard what any of the parties would do to benefit the country or their own constituency.
the e.u is awash with money waiting to be grabbed and used, my suspicion is that very little will come our way with people preferring to play party political games.

ITV have just shown the BNP party political broadcast I was not listening at all or really watching but there were various bits with a censored sign and censored sound so I presume it was a bit over the top.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

I would think that being the BNP, all of it would have been OTT, Jan.

The last sentence is incorrect Howard, we send £55m a day over there, most of it goes to the poor countries in southern and Eastern Europe. Just think how well off we'd be if we didn't send it in the first place.

These elections are very important for the British people
People need to understand why the EU is trying to expand EU membership and NATO membership, in to the poorest countries surrounding Russia?
We must not be the puppets of America and the multinationals whishing to get a grip on Russian mineral wealth.
The arms industry will be rubbing there hands at the potential for military build up
In Europe, We need to stay away from this madness.

Howard, I was referring to your point about the EU being awash with money. Ask the Greeks and Spanish about that, not to mention the Eastern European countries.
Your point about the NE is spurious, if we didn't send £55m a day in the first place we'd all be better off.

hardly spurious david it's a fact that some mep's know how to get funding for their region, our ones don't seem to have done anything so far.
the following courtesy of the bbc website, hardly encourages people to vote.
The European Parliament is the only directly-elected body in the European Union. So it is the one chance you get to to decide who represents you. The European Parliament has more power than it used to, although most EU legislation still comes from the unelected European Commission. Nobody wins the European elections - there are no government and opposition benches like at Westminster. But the make-up of the new Parliament is likely to have a decisive influence on the future direction of the EU - particularly if, as expected, there is a large block of Eurosceptic MEPs. In the UK, the result can have a big impact on a party's mood and their leader's prospects ahead of the 2015 general election. Check out their election broadcasts to get a feel for how they are pitching it.

most of us already knew this david, before we joined our export trade to the other 8 was about 40% of our total exports.
the percentage has only risen because another 18 countries have joined, the only benefit has been a cut in export paperwork over a long period of time that ironically meant unemployment to many who work in freight forwarding and customs clearance throughout the union.

Well he votes like one despite what he tells people. His voting record is freely available, he's pro EU.
Of course he can't say that in a place like dover which is anti the EU.

Of course we're not Brian, your position is clear
In 2011 there was a vote in the house over a referendum, 79 Tory MPs voted for a referendum, Charlie voted against. The Bruges group lists all his votes re the EU, Charlie is very pro.
I really don't know what he hopes to gain by telling people otherwise.

how do we find out who our candidates are?
the two ukippers have made themselves widely known and I know anneliese dodds and a chap called scobie are standing for the reds but only through clair's photos, I have heard no utterances from either.
absolutely no idea who the blues are putting up and I seem to remember the legendary antony hook was standing for the yellows.

The Tories have given up Howard, they know they'll finish 3rd.
