And so it drags on and on and on which is no good for anyone whichever side you support.

I think it's best if security is stepped up outside Parliament with so many fringe groups looking to exploit the volatile situation for their own ends.

Police have confirmed that a national pool of more than 10,000 public order-trained officers is available within 24 hours, to deal with any significant disorder.
i.e. There are 10,000 police officers who will be taken off the duties that they are doing 24/7/365 to keep you and I safe.

Those figures show just how much our so called representatives are out of touch withe the vast majority of the UK.
Some pretty coloured referendum result maps here.

I agree Jan .The Conservative MPs are not following the wishes of their supporters. They are in danger of losing their core supporters.I would not vote Labour though.I think the Prime Mimister has lost her way.Too many red herrings .Day by day it gets more complicated. Its costing money and other issues are not being dealt with.

to be honest the way things are going, amonst the lies and red herrings. they might as well revoke article 50 sooner rather than later,
then have an election for new people to assist in with further talks if need be.

Surely those fringe groups are largely
inside Parliament.

The general consensus is that the PM will go to Brussels next week and get an expected long extension for us but anything she offers will not be as Prime Minister but as an envoy of Parliament. It only needs one member state to say no and we leave on the 12th who is to say it won't be France?

I don't care who it is as long as someone does it. Right now with Parliament, it's like seeing a wounded animal in the middle of the road surrounded by horrified onlookers, none of whom has the courage to put it out of its misery.

What has been the demographic change since June 2016? A conservative estimate is around one million new voters. How many might have changed their minds now they see the bullshine that they were fed about marauding Turks and millions on the NHS? Is democracy really just a snapshot at one moment in time?
In any other country apart from one dominated by an incompetent and internally riven party, a decision of such importance would have to be taken based upon a super majority to avoid any such schism based upon 17 for and 16 against. As I've said before, this is a Tory invention which morphed into a Tory fantasy (masturbatory for certain amongst the knuckledraggers) that has now become a Tory and national disaster.
What are you so afraid of Cap'n? There's far too much at stake. Now we know a little bit more about what we are getting in this Tory driven clusterf**k, we need a 2nd referendum. There is no other way out.

Post 3939: well, we typically run with a 'first past the post' system here or, failing that and if I remember my Archer correctly, the drawing of lots; don't blame me, we had a referendum on changing this but the majority was against it.
Brexit may be a Tory invention, but post 3931 suggests that voters for other parties voted Leave too.
Finally, I suspect that your 2nd referendum, unless it's on options for the future trading relationship, depends on voters voting "sensibly" in your eyes. A) not all do and B) they are likely to have a range of different priorities.

The above is famous for being re-tweeted by Jacob Rees-Mogg Jan, which says rather a lot about him.

See #3,895. That the German nationalists are on the UK Remain side is itself reason enough to Leave!
