dont think it is wrong Keith. People who like to comment still will do. But there are People outhere who are just tired of it all. It should not come as a surprise to you All and I am glad this change taken place as stated previously its not handled well by many of the forum members either. If you want People to become passionate about Politics than act passionate. That would be a leading example wouldnt it? Sadly looking back since I joined it was not about passion it was more powerbuttons and how to annoy others kind of state.
Chris done the best decision regards this and the forum hopefully grow more in positive vibes than before. Keep your chin up Keith you will find you have accepted it already

I,m also glad the two are seperated.Politics i find are very boring as those into politics may find posts about overfilled wheelie bins etc, equaly boring. Some that are deeply into politics may say that politics cannot be avoided and play a part in all everyday aspects of life, but for me and many other members i joined this forum because i live in Dover and i,m interested in what goes on in Dover, not whats best about the labour party, conservatives, ukip, etc, etc.Maybe i might wish to comment about political issues at some point, but not for now.I,ve no real interest in any of it.Some weeks ago i noticed that on one page of posts there was only a few posts concerning Dover, the rest was all just politics. This surely isnt what the Dover forum is all about,is it?

A shame we are still getting the continued moans from Keith S when the majority of us seem to be quite happy with the changes.
I fail to see the problem it is not as if political posts have been banned from this site, those politically minded can still post to each other all day long if they feel so inclined.

I try to be neutral and polite but it is hard and getting even more difficult at times.

jan
the decision is incorrect
and a few agree with it
the vast majority have said nothing of the banning from the main page

Keith, I just click and the politics remain on here every time I log on. Makes no difference than before the switch to those who like to read all threads.

Well then, I'll agree just to make the numbers up.
I was going to be one of the silent majority, but I've always had a problem with keeping my big mouth shut.
I think its a great idea, I belong to several fora (haha) and lots of them have different sections for different subjects, but I do agree with you that we need other types of sub forums, for example, we could have a 'repetitive whining' section where posters who just keep ....you take my point ?
