Keith - Vic does not blog.
No need as well to read threads that do not interest you or make such comments.
Good to see you back by the way 'Karen'....

barryw

i will never leave forum just difficult next 2 weeks but will post on and off when can
WHOOPIE!..............At last, we now agree on something Sid!
I`m pleased to hear you say that " It is just too easy to be populist and say the EU is bad, the EU is expensive, the EU isn't good for Britain ".
You`re right Sid, it is easy, in fact it`s extremely easy because the EU IS bad, expensive and not good for Britain.
That`s also why the " great swathe of British voters ", given the chance, would vote to leave the EU. ( even if they might not care to vote for UKIP )
Keith, sorry if you find this boring, but it is a "UKIP" thread after all, so you must surely realise it`s going to be EU related.
Whats your opinion anyway, or shouldn`t I ask!

I do not believe it!! I agree with Keef on something again. Roll on 21st December 2012.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

Brian, I think Chris is saying he is going to have a roll on that date. Not sure what he will fill it with though. Perhaps cheese and piccallilli?

Can we think about it Vic?

I think Vic wants to restore the status quo of the thread.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

Well, if that fails a quick call to Graham Tumber should do the trick!

Thank you both for that Status Quo heard that name before.

. Graham was OK with me I do not hold it all against him,it was not the right thing to do but It was down to me and have put my hands up avery long time ago about it.
But back to UKIP we are showing sighs of doing well in Dover under our new Chairman Mr A Cooper.

Early days, Vic, but thank you for the compliment. There is much to be done over the coming winter months, but we have appointed a new Membership Secretary in the shape of Alexander Morgenstern and I'm sure he will do a fine job in the remit he has been given. Welcome, Alexander....
Our committee is a dedicated and talented bunch of decent people, all of whom share a common belief that Great Britain is being shafted by a cynical, self-centred European Union. We have to attract more members, younger members and I'd like to see more input from ladies; there have been some eminently sensible suggestions towards this (thanks, Marek!) and I genuinely hope we can become a significant political force in Dover & Deal without much of the cynicism that comes UKIP's way from many.
That's not to say that fierce political debate isn't welcome on here - that's exactly how it should be. I had a comment yesterday from someone who thinks that the spats between myself and Sid are personal; they most certainly are not - I know Sid from my days at P&O in the early 90s and he's a thoroughly decent guy. He's just wrong in his political beliefs, that's all!!!

True friends stab you in the front.
Thanks Andy!
Would the membership secretary be our one and only Alexander by any chance?
