Although its all undecided who is right
the problem is if those that predict climate change to be correct, we don't have a way back

That is the only argument Keith, whether Climate Change/Global Warming, is man-made.

The other arguments, Roger, are:
- is it a good or bad thing?
- is it likely to continue?
- should we try to adapt or continue with the present Canute-like policies?
My feeling is that we should adapt. I don't mind if we can grow mangoes on our allotments.

Roger is correct but there's no point worrying about it, there's not a thing that ordinary people can do.

Luddites! Nick Clegg mocks Tory right-wingers resisting green energy boost
Conservatives had abandoned 'very pro-green' language they used before election, he said
Conservative right-wingers resisting moves to boost green energy were mocked as "Luddites" today
by Nick Clegg as he sought to stress policy differences between the Liberal Democrats and their
Coalition partners.
The Deputy Prime Minister will underline the point with a visit today to an offshore wind farm
accompanied by Ed Davey, the Liberal Democrat Energy and Climate Change Secretary.

This'll confuse Reg. Not a scientist in their ranks. A collection of the great unwashed, weirdy beardies, agitpropers, social science (same as media studies in it's usefulness basically) graduates, middle ranking local council activist greenies:

Reg a question. Can you finally see how silly it is to question my credentials when most of those who take your view certainly have no scientific credentials to speak of?
Now about that 97% silliness. It's been debunked so pour a beer and relax. Life is way too short to worry about made up scare stories.

PhilipP The ``Scientist``of the 2.9 %...........?
Hot and bothered: Climate warming predicted to increase violent conflicts
A hot-off-the-presses SCIENCE study analyses historic and modern data gathered from around
the world and finds a link between global warming and increased human violence
As much of Europe and America swelter under the effects of unusually warm temperatures this
summer, it may be cold comfort to learn that climate change affects more than the weather
; it also influences our behaviour. A hot-off-the-presses study finds that as global temperatures
increase, so does violent human behaviour. Further, thanks to climate change and extremes
in rainfall, this study predicts that conflicts may increase between now and 2050.
This study, just published in the journal Science by Solomon Hsiang, Marshall Burke and
Edward Miguel from Princeton University and UC Berkeley, synthesizes a lot of previously
published studies of violence, ranging from baseball pitchers throwing balls at batters to
wars and even to the collapse of entire civilisations. Their conclusion? When it gets hotter,
people become more violent.
