much as i respect your views and enjoy reading them, you cannot say that aliens do not exist, the same applies to people who say that god does not exist.
it merely means that anyone holding those views have a closed mind and have an inability to comprehend that they do not know the answers to anything.
if we were that clever then we would not be human, hence the term "human error".

19:5872014Alexander, neither Rick above or myself have stated that alien`s exist, we can`t, there`s no evidence to show that they do, BUT, with our current knowledge on the size of our galaxy, together with the number of stars in it, some of which have been shown to have planetary systems, it increases the chance`s for other planet`s to exist and the possibility of life forms taking hold, at least bacteria or algea or other primitive life forms which could over the eon`s evolve further up the evolutionary scale as we did.
Tell them that I came, and no one answered.

20:0572018Alex, your original posting:
Aliens do not exist!
Anyone claiming they do must present the proof to uphold their claim. I do not need to prove that aliens do not exist, because they do not exist.
If you wish to prove something hitherto inexisting, it is you who must present the proof, and everyone else does not need to present proof to the contrary!
Now, watch what happens when I change one word:
Gods do not exist!
Anyone claiming they do must present the proof to uphold their claim. I do not need to prove that gods do not exist, because they do not exist.
If you wish to prove something hitherto inexisting, it is you who must present the proof, and everyone else does not need to present proof to the contrary!
Hmmm, is this science vs faith? As Colin said, I did not claim aliens do or don't exist, I'm proposing that the doubt is the fascination, and the possibility and likelihood is compelling. Needless to say that the search is vastly more interesting because if aliens do exist somewhere then we may one day meet them given the right technology. What are the chances of meeting god? Roughly about zero unless you die for it apparently.

20:2172022you seem desperate to convince yourself rick, why else would you be so devoted to telling all believers in a supreme being that they are fools?

20:4072023In my pointless opinion there is a fundamental difference between belief in the existence of aliens and that of God. Aliens are scientifically plausible, indeed statistically highly probable. They would be physical entities evolving in bio-systems that obey physical laws that we can understand. God, on the other hand, is inherently irrational, immeasurable and unscientific.
Without evidence, although it is ultimately impossible to confirm or deny the existence of either, belief in the reality of one or the other requires very different fundamental perception of the universe. However, neither are mutually exclusive.

20:4672026sometimes phil, you can be such a clever trevor, it will take me hours taking all that stuff in.
i have seen those documentaries e.t and ben hur so have evidence that both exist.
i can even remember john wayne at the foot of the cross saying "truly this is the son of god", what more evidence does anyone need?

21:3472049Phil, very well put, it`s such a vast and interesting topic that few understand, and most are ignorant to learn.
