I missed the new Thick Of It..seen it many times over the years though and very good too.. a biting satire.
I think that's wishful thinking there Keefy me oul china rather than the fact of the matter. There is nobody strong enough around at the moment to challenge Cameron. Some shadowy figures in a dark corner handed that particular loaded gun to Col Bob Stewart last week but he dropped the assasins weapon and fled double quick. He moved away so quick that centuries of commons dust whooshed up in his wake. I can see the cartoons now.
The upshot means that yes there are one or two shadowy figures that want Cameron out but it wont happen until he loses an election or until someone with charisma steps forth. But charisma is hard to find in the House of Commons. There is one man outside of the House who might fill the role eventually.
But who have we got today to challenge Cameron...
How about a woman..Theresa May..ermmm no. A witch of eastwick..
How about George Osborne...oooh noooo...financial doom.
how about Phil Hammond...oooh very dull..wont reasonate with voters.
William Hague??..tried it didnt like it..
No - pickins are slim. But should Libdem Clegg fall on his sword then all bets are off. Anything could happen if the Libdems capitulate..although as we said previously it wouldnt pay for them to collapse the Coalition process. Years in the wilderness awaits.

Osborne set to ditch `Debt`target rather than more cuts...but we still have 80 % to
come.............this was one of his `Key`targets he invested for the credibility of the
Coalition.
He is braced to hear from the OBR to report that...extra...government borrowing has
blown him off course to seeing the national `debt`falling by 2015..........oops.........
Green shoots............nah...

Liam Fox joins forces with David Davis and calls on Osborne to scrap capital gains tax
for three years and to make it easier for bosses to fire underperforming workers.
Fox said `If we do not take risks we`ll not get growth and if we do not get growth
we do not get re-elected.
While Cameron dodges questions regarding the government not meeting it`s public
debt target which means Osborne`s economic plan had failed.
The government`s policies have proved to be self-defeating with the double-dip
recession leading to borrowing going up by a quarter so far this year.

Courtesy The Week..........
Knives are out for Cameron,He is under increasing pressure from `friendly
sources`Stalking Horse rumours increase daily,Zac Goldsmith and Boris
talking,Heathrow `drama fudge`brewing,Boris scathing about Greening
removal.
Cameron trying to `detoxify the Tory ranks. His pledges to be
`greenest party of all time`,hug a hoodie and increasing Aid by 0.7 % of GDP kicked
into the long grass, all looking vulnerable with the new environment minister`s dislike
of wind farms and no slave to the global warming....
Grayling `extra tough` on penal policy,Greening an Aid sceptic and a hard headed
pragmatist.
Cameron critised for `pussy footing` on many issues and awarding gongs as
consolation prizes.
Cameron will not survive the fiasco of the last two years but it may drag on and
on.....but it will all end in tears.

Somehow the cartoon slipped out of sync with the rest of the page..now returned to order hopefully. Loved that one...I wouldnt let them two build my extension - heavens no. A planning free for all is a worry and sounds a weird economic plan for growth and we can see others are concerned.
Reg the Tories are notoriously difficult to manage..you always get these kind of whisperings and murmurings in the long green corridors of power. I've seen these corridors up close in the company of Gwyn Prosser one time, and there is much room for planned skullduggery for those with something of the night about them. Many a dagger is drawn but few are used. However I still say as I said to Keef..much of it comes to nothing. Goldsmith is miffed as the jets to Heathrow fly directly over his constituency. He had Greening in his pocket and she wasnt going for a third runway.
I've sat there picnicking in yon sumptiously coiffured Richmond as the 14.07 from Stuttgart rattled and roared overhead, nearly shattering my flask. But its life today...innit!?
Cameron is between a rock and a hard place. The country needs more runways pronto. What is he to do. He wont build a runway before the next election and he will be there in situ to fight the next election.

The legal loopholes need to be closed and smartly! Avoiding paying tax when tax is due is a blatant smack in the face of the People, and even more so in times of Austerity.

Maybe a start would be close the illegal tax avoidance
then get on with the rest?

# 270........2nd paragraph...have also seen the corridors with Gwyn and other MP`s
and Lords and enjoyed the planned skulduggery and seen some of it come to fruition...
......an alternative view, repeat from another thread.....
``With Boris and Vince in ascendancy fear of rebellion ``Stalks``Tory conference.
Cameron and Clegg return to the commons with `flak` from all sides, inside and out.
The question is will they last to the Election if....no when their MP`s put survival before
loyalty ?...................it`s a no brainer.......``

both of the main parties are already selecting candidates based on present boundaries in the expectation that the changes will not go ahead now.

Lib / Dems dithering is over.........or is it ? they are going to `U` turn on their ``no net
increase in the number of UK `runways```...they do not support Heathrow 3rd.runway.
...they will not support new runway at Stand-stead .....they have not ruled out
supporting a Thames Estuary airport.....but they do not like Borisport....they appear to
have a lot of if`s and buts..........OK yes they are still dithering..........
