  the point i was trying to make is that there are hurdles to overcome, we cannot just breeze in and do what we like. dealing with officialdom is not a problem if we talk to them in a way that we would like to be spoken to.
  
  we could have gone ahead and done clean ups of our local alleyways, then what?
  
  dozens of black bags, mattresses and assorted pieces of furniture gathered together, by talking to waste services over a period of time they arrrange for veolia chaps to come along at an appointed time on a saturday with a big truck and take it away.

  Regarding litter in the park. I walked round there the other day and it seemed remarkably free of litter. I don't think litter is a big problem.

  I have now spoken to Nigel, he was extremely helpful and we are meeting up very soon to discuss further. As Ed says, networking with like minded people is always useful and helps with putting some ideas and projections down on paper. I have even had a couple of emails from people I don't know offering their time, if we can combine this with some businesses offering their services no matter how small then that would be a winning combination. All that is a little bit down the line though, little acorns and all that.....

  Thanks Ed, I have received an encouraging email from Denise Smith and I will go along next Thursday evening, Your reference to bath chairs and ear trumpets had me falling of my chair with laughter but I bet we can still brain storm very well together, just like the best of them as there should be enough cells between the lot of us

  The Castle Forum meeting went very well last night where I met with members and discussed lots of ideas for improvements to Connaught Park.Very early stages at the moment, as I'm sure all will appreciate but I have now got more ideas in mind to move forward in formulating some plans of action in the following weeks ahead. I will get a clearer picture as the coming weeks go by and hopefully I will have some constructive news to report...........
