10:5494111Good ones Bern and Howard.
Vic
How can the Chairman be doing a good job when his "standin" as you repeatedly tell us in your posts is doing the job.

10:5694112Howard I have already Email that news over to the BOSS last night, but also They are saying UKIP is doing very well over there and that they will win seats and that would be good news for the party.
I would give it a try if I could,(Never Give up ,I am always telling the public that ,never give up.)
I have just got send me the The Regimental Association of The Queens Own Buffs Journal, as you might know it was 50years this year that the Amalgamation of both the Kentish regiments The Buffs and the Royal West Kents , I was on that parade, and they have put photos of it in the Journal and I think i have picked myself out in that photo .I will do a post about it later.

11:1794114As most forumites must have guessed by my previous postings I am a left wing socialist Labour supporter and therefore the views that are dear to me make up my outlook on life and society.I therefore find it very difficult to comprehend how Vic can change his colour and political beliefs from one election to another. If I stood as an Independant candidate it would be misleading because of my socialist views which are in bred in my makeup hence in my opinion Vic lacks political credibilty. What does he stand for?Why does he feel it necessary to switch parties and therefore his ideals so often and so easily.
It smacks to me of nothing more than a spoilt brat trying to get its parents attention or in Vics case just another way of gaining cheap publicity and his photo in the paper.
A vote for Vic is a vote wasted as one wouldn't know just what or whom one was voting for and whether he would resign halfway through office or suddenly change over to another party.

you say that you are a left wing socialist, surely vic and ukip are invaluable to those of left wing views as they take votes away from the main right wing party.
john and keith both like to rubbish vic too, it is beyond my comprehension why they do it.

13:0894129Howard, I hope we have not been too offensive. Just teasing, really. And if you go in for vote-catching and politics I guess a little ribbing can be expected? Apologies if we went too far.

13:1194130vic can handle any flak, i am just surprised why people attack him when they actually benefit from the votes he gets.

13:3794133Howard Keith and I have not been ganging up on Vic,we are different people with different ideas, but we agree on this and with Marek too,I am afraid Vic has lost the plot,as far as challenging him is concerned I will challenge anyone who is political and stands against any of my ideals.
I like Vic and he is a colourful person with a good heart and has Dover's improvement as his goal, but he has ideas above his achievments,if he got elected then he would bang his fist on the table and get no where,Now I like passion but passion never got the job done.
This is the person who resigned as a Parish Cllr and then applied for the vacancy I don't think Vic really knows what he wants but expects people to vote for him,he has a need a desire to be popular,a will to get elected, power crazy in the nicest sense because he wants to do something.
When I left the Town Council there was a hole,so I helped raise money for charity, perhaps Vic should put all his energies into something else because he seem to change his mind every ten mins, and settle for something else can I suggest he helps our Sue and Multi coloured Ken at age concern, that will give them all something to keep them busy!
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

13:5094135John I already do alot now ,I have no time left as it is. I only resigned to let others on and I am not going into all that again+at that time I was working away so could not get to all the meetings.I have no need to be popular as you put it.
Marek is the only one that I am not happy with,he keeps on and on about Dover and its needs etc,but in real life that is all he can do,I do not see him rushing back to Dover .
Must go i have family today.

14:1294136Vic, if as you say "do alot now ,I have no time left as it is."
Why on earth are you proposing to stand for election and in more than one seat? To be totally honest I think you are wasting your time and more importantly your money, not that long ago you said you were going to return to work because you needed more money.

14:1794137I have not been "on and on about Dover" as you state but as I lived in Dover 1978 -2009 I feel qualified to put certain views,as I see them, across on the forum. The forum is open to members whether they reside in Dover or not.
Not thats its anyones business we moved to Jersey so that my wife could further her career and enhance her prospects. Unlike some we are willing to go where the work is and I have lived and worked in more countries than you can shake a stick at!! but it doesn't make me any less passionate for the well being of my adopted town.
