Medicare....
......just like Labour did with the NHS........
Romney is obviously not as devious as Cameron who just denied he would change the
NHS..........
Romney has repeatedly declined to back Ryan`s Medicare reforms where as his
advisors have gone on TV to say publically he would endorse them if elected.

being picked and in particular the Medicare issue...they said it could be a defining

When you consider that the average wage is around $39,000 dollars and saying people on $250,000 are middle income, well it belies belief that a man like dear ol Mitt could have been selected in the first place. Out of touch and out of place..he's not a gifted natural.
He looks like a nice guy, has the clean cut look of presidential material but he has scant knowledge of how ordinary people live..being himself as rich as Cressus. As Reg says above there...it all sounds tooo familiar.
Although the polls are close in the presidential race, the longer said race goes on Mitt is the more likely one to shoot his own foot than opposite number Barack Obama.

As I mentioned above Mitt Romney is always the most likely of the two candidates to shoot himself in the foot..often and on a very regular basis. Right on cue a day or so after my post above he does it again. Keeping to the pre-programmed program... Goofball at work!
Barack Obama has his act together and is much more polished a performer...not being dumb enough to either isolate or write off whole sections of the community. Far better for Mitt to try and woo those not paying taxes by making employment more available and worthwhile. I guess they suffer from the same malais as we do here in the UK, that oft-mentioned malais that the Tories are currently trying to correct, in that it pays too well not to work.
However these welfare reforms should be done with a sensitivity, a sensitivity somehow beyond the reach of dear ol Mitt.
More footshooting is sure to ensue.

The PR men must be tearing their hair out. The image she presents to us all is the possibility of a madman at the controls of the White House and all that entails..keep your finger offa that button Mitt!
The two of them are an admans nightmare. Surely their campaign is over now bar the shouting. The only possibility of recovery lies in a series of upcoming TV debates. Not sure when these are starting but it has to be sometime soon. But unless Mitt resuscitates himself on a Lazarian scale we are going to get....

just when we were writing him off, just when he appeared dead in the water, oul' Mitt has pulled himself up by his well-to-do bootstraps after a lifesaving presidential debate shown live on American TV (and shown live here too). It was death or glory for Mitt and he knew it, he had to pull it off. ..or the tour campaign manager would begin packing the whole kit and caboodle into the greyhounds for the long journey back to Minnesota or Missouri or wherever he's from.
But here he was..precise, concise, and lucid. And shock horror ! with no foot shooting whatsoever. He surprised a great many people including Barack Obama himself. Mitt Romney was fresh, glowing, and up for the challenge. Barack on the other hand looked tired. His eyes blinked a lot..he paused, he hesitated, he wasnt polished. As with all these American presidential debates, and now to some extent here too, it's not really about what you say that counts but how you say it. Every pause or hesitation is analysed by the mass media..the psychologists get into full swing, the political commentators go into overdrive and eventual overload.
But despite the tax gaffs and the social gaffs and the wife gaffs..Mitt's campaign is suddenly back on track.
well well well...a week is a long time in politics.

i don't think obama is a great orator at the best of times so he will have prepare himself better the next time.
