  As I said all partys do it not just UKIP but again I do feel this will cost UKIP afew local votes but by the time of the next election is on us this will all be history and out of the public minds.

  Some times you have to vote for the good ,over the bad ,
  
  Dover ukip do not have a candidate at this moment but this will change.
  
  If you vote for a party, that party should be responsible for its manifesto pledge,
  THE CONTRACT WITH THE VOTERS.
  
  This should be set in law, this way people could vote for the policy's not the individual
  
  It doesn't bother me who is wearing the rosette, as long as they do what there manifestos says,
  
  This is one of the biggest complaints amongst voters, politicians not doing what they say they will do.

  Vic you sacked your self from the party when you ran against a ukip candidate,

  As I have already said in local elections vote for the person you think is best to do the job in hand it does not matter what party that person is in ,because that person was not a UKIP member does not change that,and in Dover West it was a blue who was the best person he won and is doing a find job for Dover and Dover West on the KCC that is my attitude and it will stay that way the ukip member they put up was not the right person to do the job ,he had fell out with the council and was trying to get his own back that is not the person you wish to have as your KCC cllr,I do not care that they kicked me out ,I am right in what I done and that is the end of it.Again it was only a few years ago UKIP in Dover voted againts standing in any local election how do I know that ,?because I was the chairman at the time,and I told them all I do not care, I am going to stand with or without your support and I did,you must know the whole story not just parts of it. Thank you for your view on it Mrs Higgins.

  Nobody is trying to trip you up, but you have done that to yourself by admitting you stood against a UKIP nominee while still a member of that party.

  (a) I did not know at the time if they had anyone standing because no one in the party was talking to me.I found out when all the partys had a meeting at the DDC office about the K,C.C. election I could have taken my name off the list that night when I found out there was still time to do that before the closing date,but when I saw who was standing for UKIP in Dover West ,I went ahead as I have already said the person was not the best one for the post.I have no more to say about it we are going round and round on this one.I would do it over again

  Hmmm, like Peter G, I do not vote for a party or a political dogma but for the candidate who I think will best represent the best interests of the constituency or ward where I live, which almost always means that I'll not vote for someone I haven't met and spoken with.
  
  Party politics in local government is always detrimental to local interests; party politics should be restricted to Westminster and, maybe, County Hall.

  Neil.The election was for Kent County Council...Not Parish or District councils.With all Elections you can withdraw your name before it is officially published on the voting papers. Chairmen of political parties know the rules for elections and their own political parties..
