Do people think the fairies will turn up overnight and suddenly put a country park there?
Developments take time and chances are any potential developers will have a clause that they won't want to be named until a deal is done.
Been nice knowing you :)

David don't hold your breath, that blue fence will last a good 25 years.

As promised I'll bring this to the top once a month.
Its 6 months or so now, still no movement whatsoever, good to see DDC has spent taxpayers money on a project that appears to be going nowhere.
I have no party allegiance at all, no idea who makes these decisions but can see what a complete shower it is running the council and wasting our money.

The JCB is unloading wheelie bins from a big trailer for final assembly and distribution.
The Ling Demolition crew have started taking down the derelict building on the plot next to ours.

They are very good at taking down....and I hear, seriously, there is good market value in rubble.............
Tis the re-building they have problems with

Paul from the tone of many of the comments - yes they do
Seriously as others have said before with a large site like the DTIZ the council &/or developers need to consolidate the many small and not so small plots and demolish/clear them before they can start any serious form of groundworks. Given that the newest set of proposed plans have yet to be approved it is little or no wonder that all we have seen is demolition and clearance.

Scotchie/Ross
not overnight but after 30 years some of us had hoped for something to have left the drawing board.
