i do not disagree with your comments
but let me explain my mere pleb views a little more lol
having been through the so called catholic faith, i would say it may not be the best method to get a c

hild to know the rights and wrongs of society.
let me explain further;
during my time at school(which was far from a happy experience) i saw nuns beating children, and children thrown down stairs, and i could go on,
for those of you that know anything about the alternatives to religion, all my family went through the catholic schools, and my oldest brother became a humanists
purely lost belief, probably because of some of the thngs he saw.
to go further, as a child we were not one the richest of family, but we got by, but i was fully aware what was right from wrong, but this did not come from any faith in schools, in came from a very strict father(parent)
in todays society teachers, parents, police, etc are unable to do the job they are paid to do becaase of the do gooders, and we need to change that, but what we also need is to look at all angles as to why children misbehave.
In my pleb later life i have gone into schools in dover and shepway on a regular basis and you would not believe some of the way children act and get away with things and some very minor changes would sort that, some schools are very good at it.
having seen the horrors of many of the schools i did visit the acadamy primary school in shepway what an eye opener, lovely children, repect for the teachers, respect for others respect for visitors.
i could go on
