On the question of the grafitti, maybe as its the anti social behaviour as a unit who will deal with it they should be told.
to be told is away of getting things done hopefully

brian is right they were disbanded many years ago, totally useless anyway.
if you rang there was an answering machine and if you sent an e mail there was never an acknowledgement let alone a reply.

WHPS had dealings with the ASBO Unit and the Hate Crimes Unit a year or so back when the Redoubt was being daubed with racist graffiti - although they didn't manage to catch anyone in the act, they put a lot of efforts in to assist us and investigating the crime, so I can only praise their efforts....

Ah, perhaps that's the way to go then, Alexander for your graffiti at the Ack-Ack battery.

But the question hasn't been answered: is this pathway above Farthingloe, where the anti-aircraft battery remains are, open to the public to walk along, or is it trespassing?
I was following a public pathway and then came across this cemented pathway, and assumed it was open for the public to walk along.
Unless this question is answered, there is nothing I can do, else I'd be possibly reporting myself for trespassing
Paul?

there seems to be some confusion over the various asbo units.
the one at district council closed yonks ago and the comments in 1457 suggest that there would be no point in alex reporting the farthingloe grafitti.

I wouldn't worry about it. Everyone walks their dogs there if it's Farthingloe AA you're talking about. Just report it.

I am sure Alexander you are able to do some research yourself, but then again from past experience you can only work by being spoon-fed information by someone else....

As far as I am aware the Anti-Social Behaviour unit still exists as I involved them with the recent damage at the Grand Shaft...

Paul, I'm unable to answer the question myself, but I assumed, as you had mentioned that this site is a rare WWII anti-aircraft battery, you might have been able to tell me whether one is allowed to walk along that pathway or not.
Are you withholding this information from me now?

community safety is the new department paul, very few get any joy out of them.
the incident at the grand shaft was high profile so they were more likely to act upon it.

To me, an old WW2 concrete path leading in which when I looked had a gate on it, but no footpaths coming out or footpath signs means to me it isn't a public footpath......
But then again trespass is a civil offence so I have no problem looking in there from a historical aspect, but I wouldn't then be moaning to them about offensive graffit on their private land....
