I never forget why Im there .That is why Im prepared to open my door at 6.00pm at night without a prior appointment because some one believes i can resolve their problems .Why I sit on a bus listening to people ,so much so I often forget my shopping .I dont think Roger cuts ribbons and he does care .
I will pop in and see you one day David .One thing Roger and myself are District Councillors. We serve the whole District .

Mr Watkins is the leader of the council (The Boss)
Mr Aziz is the boss of the officers and oversees all.

Oh right, so why is Sue talking about grit bins?
I can only assume that when she's not chairing meetings she goes out with a shovel

i took it as just trying to be helpful in her role as a councillor for river ward. don't forget that every councillor from leader downward is first and foremost a ward councillor. just as in the commons the 3 leaders are also constituency m.p.'s.

mmmmmhh, so if the councillors are organising grit bins what are the officers doing?
Its a shambles of an organisation, too many chiefs, too many indians, too much wasted money.

When you are a local councillor you get to know your patch and many if not most of your residents . .So councillors did not get involved with the outdoor market ??
