More than we gain by turning up at meetings called by the NHS Trusts' propaganda machine, Vic.

Maybe nothing but is better than sitting on backsides doing nothing or as Peter says going to pointless meetings.
The answer to the blinkered Trust supporters who think a rally is a waste of time is stay away.

totally agree with jan and peter, we have had enough meeting where we get soft soaped, not just on this issue.
a mass rally with the the t.v . and radio covering it will bring it to outside attention.
i remember a doctor being elected to the house of commons because of his fight to save his local hospital.

A chance to show that Dover needs and wants more than another health centre, whatever they try and call it. I will be there.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

reg e mailed me a leaflet earlier regarding the rally but it will not download for some reason.
no matter it seems clear reading this thread that we are all in favour of the march and rally, i will be alerting people near me hopefully other mambers will do likewise.
a big and noisy turnout is essential for making the authorities realise we will not be fobbed off.

Vic, you really are annoying! You claim to want to support the hospital but diss a rally to support it. There are many ways to achieve an outcome and most of them won't work in isolation but are more effective in combo. How dismissive and unsupportive of you. This is bigger than personalities and petty political arguments.

No, I have said nothing,I did not say I was for or against, all I asked what you hope to get from it ,and I was told. I have been supporting the Hospital from day one,and have talked about it at the many meetings I have been to and still go to.

You know very well that your question about what we would gain from the rally was a negative comment. You have supported the concept of the hospital but sadly the infighting has got in the way more often than not.

vic
you have confirmed the importance of the rally in your last post, many meetings over many years and we are still further than ever away from having a hospital.

Indeed, Howard. All those tools od the trade need to be used, not just those sterile and arid meetings.
