Eastleigh 2 : 1 Dover. Whites stay 7th in the final play-off spot, but with only six games to go, Tranmere and Ebbsfleet coming up this weekend and Fylde, Ebbsfleet and Bromley breathing down our necks with games in hand it's a bad time to hit poor form.

The first loss in five games hardly suggests they are hitting poor form.

Well, yes, maybe a little too gloomy. But 1 point out of a possible 6 against non-contenders and with few games left to make it up increases the pressure somewhat, and means we'll probably need all 6 points this weekend to stay in contention.

Pressure is on the clubs around Dover as well fylde show that
without all the games in this league are big ones no more so than tranmere and ebbsfleet
but a few seasons ago the club before getting into conference was struggling and has come a lot way since those days

I was just about to leave to walk to the match. Luckily checked Twitter and saw that the game was off. Some very unhappy Tranmere fans I should imagine after a long, slow Bank Holiday journey from Merseyside.

Ebbsfleet 2 : 1 Dover. A late Whites equaliser immediately cancelled out means Dover stay 7th. With only 5 games left, and teams below within reach and with games in hand, it's unfortunately no longer in our own hands.

Back to football I think a change of mangers is needed ,h e has done a great job and I still think there is a place at Dover for him on the payroll ,but as for going up that will not happen all the time Dover have a part-time manger Dover now needs a young full time one who wants to go places .

What Dover needs if it wants to progress any further up the pyramid is money.
and crowds every week over 1,000
the club also has to decided it's reached it's level
without a bigger financial backer there probably at there level

The trick is to sell more season tickets. At present they probably don't offer enough value against pay on the day entry.
As for Mark, I am glad that he appears to have been dealt with sensibly and proportionately.

That's the thing has to be some value to a season ticket.

A dire 1st half, followed by a slightly better 2nd.
Torquay had 2 men sent off after our penalty, as well as someone from the bench.

No game for Whites last night, but results from other matches left Dover's position a little more hopeful. Though still in 8th, we can overtake Wrexham and Boreham Wood with our game in hand, and only Ebbsfleet below can at the moment catch us.

Maidenhead 3 : 2 Dover. I think that's probably the end of Dover's interest this season. 3 points is a minimum requirement against Tranmere this Tuesday but, given they still have an outside chance of taking first spot, I can't see it; and Ebbsfleet are now equal with Dover on points with a game in hand.
