Boreham Wood 2 : 3 Dover. Blimey! Whites win a game and break the Boring Wood curse, climbing to 6th, now seven points off top spot after leaders Macclesfield were thrashed by Fylde.
Next up, Guiseley (or, for the orphographically challenged at DAFC, or their printer, Guisley, or is that Guisely?).

From the quick flash on Final Score, it must have been literally a last-minute winner.

We went 3-1 up in the 85th minutes and they made it 3-2 in the 87th.

Clearly the BBC or their feed had a bad day.......They showed it as 2-2 then a Dover goal at the end!

Dover 2 : 1 Guiseley. A late goal against the league strugglers and Whites hold on to 6th place. Now only six points between 1st and 8th. 2327 at the Community Day today.
Next Saturday: home to Leyton Orient in the FA Trophy.

A bit of a scrappy game in difficult conditions but a deserved win made harder due to two disallowed goals for unknown reasons.

Dover 3 : 4 Leyton Orient. Despite coming back from 0 : 3 down, Whites are booted out of the FA Trophy following a last-gasp O's sickener.
Meanwhile, there's no change in Whites' league position following the other games today.

Terrible conditions at Crabbble today and a poor performance from Dover against 10 men. Mitch Walker was great in the first half, it could have been much worse. I can't see Dover making the play offs this season now.

Keep the faith Judith.
Sutton came for a point got all 3.
time wasted a lot
looked the better side
Sutton goal keeper made 2 or 3 outstanding saves as did mitch.
still close to play off places some results went dovers way
still 14 games to go
As long as we don't keep relying on the high ball pumped up front
other sides are used to that now
must get away from having all 11 players bk as well.
but keep the faith

Agree with Judith, and thanks to Mitch we avoided a tonking. Sutton deserved their win and were by far the stronger team in my opinion. The result would still no doubt have been the same even if Sutton went down to nine men.
Sincerely hope that I’m wrong and that I have to eat humble pie, but can’t see for the life of me how we will be anywhere near the playoffs come the end of the season.
Apparently we now have a ground that is fit and acceptable to join the football league should we ever achieve promotion. That’s good of course, but seems to have come at the expense of investing in the team to maintain competitiveness. Suppose all that bloody yellow paint must cost a fortune!

Dover 1 : 0 Dagenham & Redbridge. Excellent win sees Whites back in a playoff spot ahead of a long trip to Fylde on Saturday.

The very, very small crowd missed a wonder goal from Pinnock. I don't think the town is ready for a successful football team.

AFC Fylde 3 : 1 Dover. Whites sunk by Coasters and now down to 9th and out of the play-off places.

same old tactics
players looked tired
Fylde always looked the better side even when Dover were 1-0 up
Only Mitch Walker kept the score down.
Has Dover reached it's level?

Perhaps they have or is it that they have reached the level that the people of Dover will support and therefore allow?

Dover is only a small town, I would say that the only reason the club has got this far is the Parmenter family money.
I don't understand the blaming of Dover residents for loses.

Not blaming Dovorians for losses or applauding them for wins, just suggesting that if people want them to go beyond their current level then they need to support them by going to home games and spending their money so the club finances can support better players and facilities without relying on the largesse of the Parmenters

Dover is a small town, half the catchment area is the channel, Parmenter has rubbed some people up the wrong way, Kinnear’s recruitment & playing style, the cost of entry, the stream of locals going to Arsenal, West Ham, Tottenham, etc. Probably the ease of watching games on the TV is the biggest problem.
Dover Athletic will never again regularly attract the crowds they did in the 80’s and 90’s, and this season without an FA Cup run and patchy home form.
Parmenter, this season, has spent his money on Crabble and not on players. We are at a higher level than can really be expected.
Dover Athletic will never be a Football League club based just on the population of the town attending in large numbers.
