Just to mention that the much photographed Costa Romantica is in again today..to see pix scroll back. It will make a terrific backdrop to the Community Safety Day on the seafront. Road already closed along part of the seafront...more details on that on the frontpage.

On Wedsnesday we have two cruise ships the AIDACara PoC (last called in June) and the Braemar TR, returns from the Olympics No ship on Thursday.
Friday 17th August, brings two more cruise ships, the Sapphire and Ocean Princess, both TR.
One on Saturday, Saga, Quest for Adventure TR.
The Costa NeoRomantica returns to Dover on Sunday 19th TR+PoC, just for you Pauli

Am still longing to see gigantic liners...
I suppose it wont be long until the season starts winding down now..will keep this thread going til the bitter end, in more ways than one!
This was the ultra calm sea yesterday evening..lovely colours, a millpond. Yes the Braemar was full to capacity today. Lots of passengers had their previous trip cancelled because of the Braemar's Olympic schedule but they were well compensated by Fred Olsen lines.
We also lost all internet connection for a couple of hours this morning Paul. - 19 August 2012 16:21187790Tomorrow 20th August, we see the Saga Ruby and the Black Watch cruise into Dover once again, both TR.
No ships then until Friday 24th when we see the Sapphire return, TR.
On Saturday 25th we have the Splendid Ocean Princess and the Crystal Symphony both TR.
No ship on Sunday but on Monday 27th we see the Costa NeoRomantica again, TR+PoC.
On Wednesday 29th August we see the Sapphire again and the Braemar both TR.
On Saturday 1st September, the wonderful Windsurf pays us another visit PoC.

look forward to seeing the windsurf again. - 21 August 2012 07:40187982Here we are with the Saga Ruby again...I guess the ships are getting a tad familar now, as all are the same all the time more or less, nothing too new and exciting coming in. However the Saga Ruby looked good leaving last night in the deep evening colours.
Good to have that tip re the Wind Surf..always one to watch, she being the exception to the normal visitations.
The Saga Ruby needed the services of two tugboats to get her up and running despite the ultra calm conditions and here she is...

Nothing terribly exciting today, just a return of the Saga Sapphire under that autumnal sky.
