This thread was started by VM at the start of the season and has been used ever since (except by members who seem unable to type 'football' into the box in the 'search' facility). I don't see any reason to change now. Besides, the title of the newcomer on the block, 'Dover Athletic Information', seems more appropriate to club news rather than reports by people who were actually at matches. There is a niche, though, for anyone who wants to start yet another thread: we don't have one for away matches. Who'll be the first of many?

Perhaps just merge the 2 threads and then re-name it?
It’s not like other subjects have duplicate threads. How many A20 threads have there been?

Dover 1 : 2 Harrogate. Well that was a waste of time, effort, entrance money and hot chocolate. The most exciting event was a half-time shouting match in the bar which attracted the attention of security and police. At least it livened things up a bit. On the pitch Harrogate were all over us, Whites never looked like winning despite scoring first and, after Town's 2nd goal, the team more or less stopped playing, probably put off by the prospect of a long midweek trip to Yorkshire should they equalise. Perform like that in the league and we've had it.

I agree it was a very poor performance.

they were indeed at home today against Gateshead
Dover went ahead in the 8th minute courtesy of a goal by Lokko and held on until the 79th minute when Gateshead equalised, it looked like a draw until the 5th minute of added time when Gateshead managed to snatch a winner.
The lack of bite in front of goal is beginning to look like a problem no matter what Hess says...

Well, we did and I suspect we have. Dover 2:3 Harrogate. Following Town's early goal I thought Whites were pretty clueless for the rest of the first half. They gradually built up some steam in the second half and, after a couple of subs, blew the valve in the last 10 minutes with two quickfire goals from Allen and Reason. That's when Hess should have reorganised the team into a tighter unit. Instead, they allowed Harrogate to equalise and then to snatch it in added time. With the other teams around us picking up points we are back in the relegation places with fewer games to play. Still, a bonus at this time of year is that, though the dog shite on the cut-through to London Road is voluminous, it is also very visible.

Dover 3:0 Braintree. A decent performance from the Whites this afternoon. I'd not even settled down before Braintree had a man red-carded, and didn't see what happened. Worgan (his first game I believe), hardly troubled in the 1st half, made a couple of excellent saves in the 2nd, including one from a penalty. Pavey got the nod over Effiong, and scored our first after a defensive shambles. But even though Braintree never gave up, the result was never in doubt, and Dover might have had a couple more. Braintree are surely doomed, but losses for Maidstone, Aldershot, Havant, Chesterfield and Maidenhead mean Dover, though still only just above the relegation places, are in a much better position after this win.

The Braintree threw a punch / or slapped the Dover player - I heard both ( was up the other end)
Now where's the other DAFC thread?

Dover up to 17th after the win over Aldershot yesterday, their highest placing since last August, and now only 16 points away from a play-off place. Shame there's only 2 matches left. On a happier note, it'll soon be time for a few new threads for next season's matches.

Dover 3:0 Sutton. Excellent high-energy first half from Dover, with one scored, one disallowed for off-side and chances for a couple more. Rather an end-of-the-season feel to the second half following the half-time substitutions. MoM to Mitch Walker in his last game for the club. It's been an impressive 9 match unbeaten run to see Whites finish in 14th place, a height unimaginable at the turn of the year. If Hessenthaler's higher profile (if he stays, that is) can recruit a few in the summer, next season could be a cracker.
