I know you'd like to think it's all about you but really the outcome of today's game won't be affected whether you are there or not. Get
yourselfalong, enjoy yourself and support your team.

It's quite an expensive afternoon out for a family with admission being £17 per adult and £8 for children 11 years old or above, although free for under 11s.

Dover were dreadful in the first half. Small disgruntled crowd but good to see Captain Crab making an appearance before the game.

I suspect relations between the chairman, manager and players is strained. CK was very low profile on the touchline compared to usual and at least one player seemed dismissive of him.

This is the very time Dover needs support
It's not just about Dover winning, or getting to play off's
The chairperson needs I believe to make decision(if he hasn't already) on where he wants to see the club in reality.
Without a shadow of doubt the National league is a higher standard than just one league below where the standard of football really drops.
Dover has, season upon season (after losing it's main players) got itself towards the play off's
A few seasons ago the club was struggling to even get into the national league.
What should also be in the melting pot is Dover is on a much smaller budget, play part time,
So really with this in mind it's not doing that bad.
But everyone wants to see there club win, that's natural, and I'm aware a number don't always travel away like they used to.
So there are concerns.
We all question CK tactics, but they appear to come good in the end.
There has been a number of signings of the season that I have quietly questioned but they all came good.
So for me I'm a realist, and will support Dover no matter what league they end up in, and win, lose, or draw.
That's a true supporter.
The club does , and hopefully is meeting internally to sort out its present position
and hopefully we will see the fruits of that over coming games,,,,,

There is a lynching party out for the manager on social media, a few bad results and all his achievements are forgotten. I believe that all clubs are full time except Dover.

The club's failure to retain players is a sign. The last two seasons have seen mass departures after the final match, and replacements have generally, to put it mildly, not been an improvement. There may be all sorts of reasons a player leaves one club for another, but our regular end-of-season exoduses suggest to me that there's something rotten in the state of Dover. I've no idea what this might be, or whether it's managerial, cultural, geographical, financial, or something else. One thing's for sure though, it's not the playing surface, which must be one of the best in the National League, and may be the best in National League South next season unless the club finds a solution sooner rather than later.

I suspect players leave because they get a better deal financially elsewhere. Dover being located where it is also makes it less attractive than other teams. Lots of travelling must put semi-pro players off. I am not calling for CK to go I think he has done very well. I just sensed a different attitude yesterday, less enthusiasm from the bench and players.
I will watch Dover when I am able to (I work most Saturdays) whatever league they are in. The last few years in the National League have been great so many 'big teams' coming to Crabble, long may it continue.
