Keith, I am extremely negative towards politicians, I've met dozens, less than a handful are any good.
You are a perfect example of a triballist who has no interest other than winning elections, beyond that you couldn't care less

You are correct Keith we've never met but its clear from the forum that your raison d'etre is scoring party political points.
Thats your choice, its my belief that approach has ruined the town, there are triballists on both sides who have zero interest beyond power.

Thanks guys
We of course need to recognise and encourage those officers and politicians that can assist in the delivery of the outcomes local residents, workers and businesses identify as being essential in moving us towards where we want the town to be.
Yes the meeting was frustrating as there were the usual nay sayers and wafflers and those who deliberately or otherwise were not getting it. There were also a number who were there for what they could get out of it for their pet project rather than being prepared to take a wider more holistic view. Having said that, that is fine as we all have our own vested interests and pet projects we would love to see come to fruition. What I and the the interim partnership need to do is draw these disparate interests together and stitch them into a Vision for Dover that is bought into by the majority.

Concise Ross, good luck with what you call the naysayers and those with a personal agenda. Once the dust settles hopefully they'll be weeded out.

Reminder
The inaugural meeting of the Dover Big Local Interim Partnership will be held on 8th May at the RCPYC on the sea front at 7pm - we have limited space, but those who can make it are welcome to come along

I had a really good meeting, in my capacity as chair of the Dover Big Local Interim Partnership, this evening with Brinley Hall from DDC & representatives of the Dover Skate Park Project (thanks Charlie Spore, Dave, Mike, James & Chris).
I think we made good progress and all parties have a clear understanding of what each is able to bring to the table, next steps etc.
