Ross
I can't now come along to the meeting as I have to collect Jean from Buckland Hospital at 10.15 and I doubt she will be well enough to be left on her own.
I thought I had your current email address, but seems not - sorry.
If there's any info you can send me, I'll appreciate it.

Really good meeting this morning - some old face, some new faces
Have agreed a core group to develop & organise the launch event and try to get the Big Local out there into the public perception - I was asked to chair this group. I will advise the other members as soon as they are confirmed by Carl

Unfortunately no but Charlie Elphick put in an appearance which was great as it really helps when people understand we have his support

Hi Ross, perhaps you'd like to come along to another Town Team meeting in the next few weeks to keep us informed?
As previously mentioned, that invitation is open to everybody who feels they have an idea how we can help the town.

Love to David - we will be looking to try to tie the launch up with Feel Good week and the move back outdoors of the Bluebird Market

I think the article is a tad unfair, but thats our local press...

Ross, overcoming apathy is the biggest problem the town has. Dover people have become so used to empty promises, lack of progress and ineptitude that cynicism is the status quo. Councils and politicians at every level have to hold their hands up and take responsibility for that, they are the problem not the solution.
But chin up, with the Town Team and your merry band we'll start to make some slow progress.
You never know, there might come a time when politicians stop bickering like schoolgirls and actually get something done.

Well done Ross and good luck for the future.
Rising from the ashes has to start somewhere

and if you get the support that you and Dover deserve, then you will suceed.
Ignore the apathy, as you start to show your progress, they will start to come on board.
Make the local press work for you.
Use the councils and politicians to achieve your goals.
