19:3081495Because he's a politician, they love word games rather than a simple answer..

19:3781497then they wonder why so few people bother to vote.
people like transparency, i am coming around to keith's views on the subject of the blues and independents.
we have a classic example here, stewart was agent to an alliance member in one election, then works for the blues at other times.

19:5981499It is time to tell you that for some time now the blues and the Alliance, are as one, both working with each other and working who and where their Candidates will stand without them coming to a head to head with each other, and I think we could see the Mr Dav/H standing for the D.D.C. in May for the blues, funny old world .

20:1481502If that is the case Vic,the Tories and the Indies working together must have had meetings between the parties,Stewart I always wondered when you and Mary Davies stood against me in Tower Hamlets why you stood in TH not Aycliffe where you both lived, makes sense and if it was not your decision how it was decided.Did you have a group meeting and draw straws or was there a chain of command.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

20:2181506don;t see that vic, david has repeatedly said that party politics is not his thing and has caused a lot of the town's problems.
he cannot stand as an alliance candidate for district as that it is against their rules.
john raises more questions in post 27, it all seems rather macchiavellian.

21:3481514Howard,I DID NOT SAY HE DID,what I said, was wait till MAY and then we could see him stand for D.D.C. He wants more then the D,T,C, they do not have much power like the D.D.C.

17:4481661well well now vic has let the cat out of the bag.
so the alliance(of which he was a member) have been doing deals with the tories for some time.
thanks vic for letting us know
that i suppose answers the question that david h may be standing for the tories at district?
also stewart
you will find if you look closely enough your buddy in aycliffe stood for the alliance party in the district elections
so please lets be up front and honest
quite clear on the results page
anyone can view it on the district councils web site.
david h says its not in the alliance rules and give no backing
yet the resiults show this not to be the case

19:2981675I have no idea where Vic gets his ideas from but no 'deals have ever been done with the Conservatives, or Labour or the Liberal Democrats. Yes we do speak to them all, I talk to you, Keith, quite often I don't think you could classify it as 'deal making'. As I am sure you have noticed the District Council is Conservative led and as they do have a direct bearing on the town it would be stupid not to talk about the towns interests with them. Not everything is a conspiracy (we could ask why Labour always comes up as an incorrect spelling on this forum) and only an idiot would refuse to work with people unless they belonged to the same club. Hence the point of the Alliance, Town first not party.
Politics, it seems to me, for years, or all too long, has been concerned with right or left instead of right or wrong.

do you agree chris that your leader david says its against alliance rules to stand for other councils under the alliance banner?
getting the answer to this is like pulling teeth
have replied on the thread on thinking on how i work with other party members
will leave the reply to vics statement for vic to reply on as hes made a big issue out of this

19:3581679I think reading beween the lines Mr Precious has put I am right, but I did not say there was anying wrong with them working with each other ,so by not just say yes we are and it is best for the town ,if that is what they think.I worked well with the reds when I was on the council.
