Not sure they're all fiction Brian but they can't all be true.
A bit of faith is a wonderful thing, it gives people strength, but a lot of people are going to be very disappointed.

Brian, there can never be proof but that's not my point, its possible that 1 is true, they can't all be.
I'm not fussed, millions of people have a faith that enriches their lives and does no harm, I think that's a good thing

I think a lot of the bible stories are based on a fact but over years of retelling have gradually been distorted, added to that the need to explain what to the storyteller was inexplicable or against the recognised doctrine.

We will probably never know
but my point is alexander has no time for catholics or church of England
yet his church at the castle is associated with them
I also have no problem with anyone having a great belief, but it should not be forced on people as this could well have the opposite affect to what Christians would be wanting to achieve.
Teaching about ALL faiths in schools being one way so that children can make there own minds up
rather than alexanders view that only teach Christianity in fear that teaching alternatives may well destroy even more Christians.

I can vaguely remember being taught about Buddha and Confucius at school while I sat at the back of the classroom during RE doing my supposed homework.

Keith, I've responded to your post 110 on the other thread, as your statement is untrue, when claiming I "have no time for Catholics or Church of England".
Discussions with people of Catholic or Church of England membership would be lovely, but currently I am discussing here with people who profess to be neither. Even then, i have plenty of time to discuss.
Do you not see a contradiction in your statement?
