Lesley, Adam and Eve had sons and daughters.
Humanity spread through marriage between man and woman.
Some people are convinced that humans descend from an original mono-cell that "created itself" after the "big bang".
They also call this "scientific knowledge" and teach it in schools.
Humans don't have an idea of Eternity, in particular that Eternity is projected over the past as well as the future.
Eternity never started, and that is what mortals cannot comprehend.
Hence the myth of a "big bang" and an original "mono-cell" that "evolved into animals, fish and humans".
While I know that some people feel sorry for me, what they don't realise is that I feel sorry for them.

So getting back to the original thread
in the interests of making sure children learn about all religions, and life, we should allow schools to teach about ALL religions
and the children can then make there own mind up, rather than being pushed into one religion?

Keith we agree

,... either that or they teach about none of them which could increase our ignorance about other religions.
Nice to see you yesterday.

These sundry 'churches' are all well and good, by way of distraction, but we all know that Britain plays host to the one true way.
This is none other than the ancient Celtic, Druidic and widespread belief - as can be evidenced on the pages of all Asterisx books - that centres upon the fear that one day (soon) the sky will fall upon our heads...we have been warned.
Ignorance is bliss, bliss is happiness, I am happy...to draw your attention to the possible connectivity in the foregoing.

There was only one Creation, Lesley.
How else would Mankind have multiplied at the start other than by marriage between the available men and women?
Keith:
The State should conduct an inquiry into the viability of so-called "science" that teaches evolution from mono-cells to human beings.
This nonsense shouldn't be taught in our schools.

That is your belief not mine and since when has it been necessary to be married to procreate.

Jan, mono-cells divide to procreate.
There is no way mono-cells developed into animals, fish or human beings.
At the moment British schools are teaching this sheer nonsense, that dividing mono-cells evolved into human beings.
They also state that it is "science".
First and foremost we need the State to start a public inquiry into how this rubbish was introduced into the educational system, and the mishap needs to be rectified.
Keith:
Before the State took any decision whether to teach all religions in British schools, there would need to be a public debate to see whether British people want to destitute the Christian Faith as our official one.
Then there would need to be an Act of Parliament.
Currently the Christian Faith is the official State Faith.

Alexander, I learnt about mono-cells as you call them when I was at school, an Amoeba is a one cell organism which is believed to be the origin of all known life on our planet. I choose to belief modern day science rather than the comparatively ignorant work of people who lived hundreds or even thousands of years ago.
"Reproduction: Amoebas reproduce asexually by binary fission. A parent cell divides (the nucleus also divides in a process called fission) and produces two smaller copies of itself".

ok, so we have evidence of caveman, dinosaurs, the time line etc and yet we are led to believe that Jesus was a white man, dressed in persil white robes escourted by a posse of well educated scribes.
You dismiss the idea of mono-cells which frankly makes you a hypocrite yet God took a rib from Adam and cloned Eve. He obviously knew more about cell splitting than you!

Guess which word is defined thus:
a person who is intolerant of any ideas other than his or her own, esp on religion, politics, or race
[from Old French: name applied contemptuously to the Normans by the French, of obscure origin]
I'm an optimist. But I'm an optimist who takes my raincoat - Harold Wilson
