She only does game at the Tuesday market, not on the seafront.
On Tuesday she also had pheasant and partridge and had even had whole goose (sold out by the time we went)

I am just so pleased and proud that,to paraphrase the song, that Dover is doing it for its self.More power to your elbows guys and gals

Now all we need is a fishing fleet in Dover, with a daily fish market near the clock tower, drawing buyers from all over. You know. Just like Boulogne.

I had to have a double take on that one Howard and then I realised it was a double post

I did have some great rabbit from Sue,much to the disgust of my daughters.By the way ,I did see you loitering with intent in the Market Square the other day and I did have my camera poised, but I thought it would be similar to unmasking Batman

Thanks very much John.
As Simon says 31 stalls booked next week, just as important the cafes etc around the market are delighted with trade on market days. A trader from out of town has taken a shop in the Charlton Centre.

prior to the previous market opening there was considerable disquiet from some town centre traders despite the extra footfall the market would bring.

Well, we can't please all the people all of the time can we. So long as the town is busy we are doing our job. If shop keepers are not stocking what people want to buy then it is not the fault of the market is it!

the are two types of shopkeepers.
a) those who complain that market traders do not have their overheads i.e. rent and business rates.
b) those who rub their hands in gleeful anticipation of the footfall on market days.

that's why i was surprised at the attitude in dover towards having a market.
most towns and cities love them a challenge that established businesses relish.
market square is dead most of the time shops and cafes there have been given a major boost.

Howard, there will always be scepticism but it has to be overcome with evidence.
