I hope your right howard I worry for motorists -mainly my road every time it is dusted with snow they cannot move and get stuck.

Just been looking at Traffic England's cameras - Medway has had a lot of snow this evening as has much of the central part of the county. The M2 near Chatham looks bad (2245hrs).

Police in the Tonbridge area say they are dealing with a number of vehicles abandoned in the snow. #UKsnow

We seem to have got off lightly again with all the train cancellations and school closures elsewhere in the county.

Looks like the snow will be arriving this evening and carry on again tomorrow here in Dover. Manwood's school in Sandwich closed early today due to a threatening weather forecast.

80% chance of heavy snow here late evening according to the Met Office. It looks as though the area from Faversham to Medway got another bad dose around lunchtime today. They're welcome to it!

The snow we were promised never materialised but seemed colder than ever in town earlier, that didn't stop the hordes who descended on Pound Store in search of opening bargains. I went inside but couldn't see what they were selling as the aisles were packed with people shoulder to shoulder.

We did have a sprinkling of snow during the night but it had disappeared by 6.00am.
I hope that new shop succeeds especially as the Sewing Centre is going to close at the end of March, which is a great shame and will be missed by many, I guess a rent increase is to blame but might be wrong.

For some reason, not much local railway open tomorrow.
No trains between Dover and Ramsgate or Dover and Faversham.

Friday is POETS day Karlos! Probably nothing to do with bad weather conditions.
Do nothing and nothing happens.

Stations closed and trains cancelled as Karl has said yet the forecast overnight and tomorrow is dry without a hint of snow. Maybe they are expecting a leaf to fall on the line? South Eastern trains have not been the same since that John Heron joined them.

The forecast is for snow from around breakfast time with the chance of drifting because of the wind. I think they're trying to put people off travelling so they don't get stuck later in the day, but it does seem a bit drastic.

Could be worse! (One can only presume that most of Eastern Europe and Scandinavia have ground to a halt?)
