Hopefully they have got it wrong, bad enough now with the biting wind. Just been through Market Square and our thirsty brethren are still sitting outside with their amber nectar.
Kent live are famed for their dramatic forecasts, checked the BBC version and no mention of snow just very cold.

As usual likely to be very little, and never enough to be cut off so I don’t have to go to work.

The South East Today weather report yesterday evening claimed there would be 'not enough snow for a snowball'. Forgive the technical language.

We seem to have escaped the snow for now but I saw a few cars coming into town this morning with snow on the roof, doubtless Capel residents had to get their shovels out of the shed.

The fat lady has not sung yet! Between 15:00 Tue 6th and 10:00 Wed 7th
Met Office:- Sleet and snow showers will continue to affect parts of eastern and southeastern England later on Tuesday, lasting well into the night in places. Some mostly small accumulations of snow are likely. This is an update to focus the warning area further south. Expect some delays to travel, while untreated surfaces become icy, leading to an increased risk of accidents or injuries.

"Outlook for Sunday to Tuesday
Sunday will be dry with sunny spells but it will be cold. The start of next week will be very cold. Monday is likely to see a few scattered snow showers and these may become heavier later on Monday night and into Tuesday."

Taken from a respected UK weather website:
Summary
1) Unusually and possibly record breaking cold is expected during the first half of next week.
2) Snow showers become increasingly widespread with disruptive accumulations in places.
3) During the second half of the week an area of low pressure may push up from the southwest. That would bring the risk of blizzards but if it pushed far enough north milder air would return to southern counties.
As we've had no snow to speak of for the past five years, there is no excuse for not gritting pavements as well as main roads.
This will be a historic spell, with the deepest cold since February 1991 certain and a possible biblical snow event later next week.
