15:2284072Today I met a tory activist who told me the local feeling on the results were that the tories would hold there seat in lydden
and the alliance/tory candidate would get castle town council seat
but the labour party would regain the seat the KCC seat and the tories were just hoping not to lose by to many.
interesting,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

15:3284075Interesting one there Keef...now would that be Stewart Dimmock you quote there, as you said you met him out and about on another post. the cats outs de bag!lol
The Alliance candidate for castle ward where yours truly resides, is Georgette Rapley, and we have been leafleted by Georgette.
She has a vision for Dover with lots of things listed for this vision
like....
More tourists staying here instead of passing by..( we been saying that for years)
More investment in the town instead of on the seafront ( I live on seafront so not good to tell me that)
and stuff like that way out of deliverable range i would have thought, but there we are.

think the alliance/tory candidate has got it wrong on the seafront issue.
i find it a delight to visit the scenery around the sea front, spend many hours there

15:4184078i think stewart has got this one right.
keith
there are still many people that think that the money spent on the sea front could have been spent on the town. could not be more wrong.
i haven't seen the leaflet mentioned by paul but i hope it does not give the impression there was a choice with the "sea change" money.

17:5484095Let me assure you all that it was not me that told this fairy tale to Keith. Also Keith I will except your appology, as I have never been a member of the labour party.

I will have more out over the few days,so still all to play for.

I have re read the post and at no point did i say you were a labour party member
they probably wouldnt have you lol.
let me explain,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Whilst in aycliffe you told me years ago you always had socialist/labour beliefs and that's fine, since that time you joined the new party
and now your active with the tory party
and that too is fine
so no apology

19:2384115I have dropped leaflets into over 1000 doors in the last few days in Tower Hamlets ward, and another one last week and I am not going to get political here but have seen some Tory leaflets many on the paths, and I have told Nigel about this before. No sign of UKIP in Tower Hamlets or Libs either.I must say that it has been a pleasure delievering to every house in my ward,I am saying no more on what dozens of people told me.
If you knew what I know,we would both be in trouble!

20:2984128i think i know the answer here, now that aycliffe is a village they would be expecting blurb for a parish council election.
hence brian and mrs brian would have dumped the county council leaflet as it would have been irrelevant.
