A vote for Ukip is a vote for a Labour government. Why can't the Tories get this message across?
The most interesting domestic event of the weekend was not the increasingly tiresome Lib Dem
conference. It was the fascinating poll by Lord Ashcroft showing the state of affairs in those
Conservative/Labour marginal seats which will determine the result of the election.
Full story Telegraph.

The ever eager seeker of popular policies, without a financial structure Nigel now goes for
a ``wind fall`` tax on Fracking.
His one obvious policy is to put out enough issues where large numbers of the electorate will knee
jerk their vote his way.

Ukip will get MPs next time round if they go for marginals like Dover indeed Dover could be a winner for them, if the right person in place, but Ukip need to put up their Candidates now and not like times before by puting them up just a few weeks before the Election the public need to see and hear from them and geting round the streets and towns where they are going to stand also in local press and meetings,if they do not do that then they will go back to what the party was before.

FYI.
From Love not Hate.
The delegates at last weekend's UKIP national conference voted to proscribe HOPE not hate.
That means any supporter of HOPE not hate cannot now be a member of UKIP.
It's incredible that a party that's desperately denying claims that it is racist bans membership from
Britain's largest anti-racist organisation.
UKIP claim HOPE not hate is an extremist organisation, putting us on par with the fascist BNP.
This is clearly ridiculous.
UKIP have proscribed HOPE not hate
The reality is that over the last few months we have begun to put UKIP under the microscope. We'
ve exposed the racist rantings of some of their key organisers and councillors. Just in the latest
fortnight we have exposed Farage's speechwriter and press spokesperson for using insulting and
abusive language mocking people with disabilities and the NF past of a Thurrock UKIP councillor,
who told us when we confronted him that he saw in UKIP the same things he saw in the NF.
We have got under UKIP's skin and they don't like it. But rather than deal with their own racists they
are trying to silence us.
Over the last six months we have had a conversation with our supporters over our attitude to UKIP.
Over 3,000 people completed our surveys and 1,200 attended 70 meetings we held around the country.
And there is a clear consensus about our position.
HOPE not hate is not against UKIP as a party and we do not take a position on membership of the EU
We do, however, oppose political parties who whip up anti-immigrant prejudice through scaremongering
and playing on racist fears. This not only leads to increased racism in our communities but risks
pushing the main parties to the right on immigration and multiculturalism.
So, over the next six months, we will continue to scrutinise UKIP. We will monitor their comments,
challenge the lies they spread and promote a Britain that celebrates its rich diversity. We will stand
up positively for OUR Britain.
UKIP might proscribe us but they will not silence us.

'Lend us your votes': Ukip's Nigel Farage steals in to Conservative Party Conference to lure
Tory support
Nigel Farage will on Monday urge the Tory faithful to "lend us your votes" in next year's European
elections as he makes a scene-stealing series of appearances at the Conservative conference.
The UK Independence Party leader, who will speak at three events on the conference fringe, will repeat
his forecast that his buoyant party is set to win the popular vote in next year's elections to the European
Parliament.
Mr Farage told The Independent he was not travelling to Manchester to win over permanent converts to
his party but to appeal to Conservatives to switch allegiance temporarily.

wasn't much in the press about the ukip conference as things got overshadowed by the the bloom headlines.
our local branch as usual failed to make ground over the main policies such as local authority housing waiting lists giving precedence to those who were born locally.

Sorry but the new set up in Dover for UKIP will get nowhere they not not have persons now like they did in my days I had a great team around me who would go out and around to get cash in and try to win voters over they are now gone UKIP in Dover have missed the boat and will get nowhere sorry but they are the true facts.

UKIP appear to give equal chance to men and women when choosing candidates.
Labour recently opted for a non-macho approach in order to give more chances to female candidates.
This did not go down well with Keith Sansum, who picked a quarrel again.
Keith opposes the Labour prospective candidate Clair Hawkins on the basis that she is a woman.
Opposing a candidate on the grounds that she is a woman, or because of the colour of their hair, or because they would be happy to stand as candidate in an election etc., should not pose a serious threat to a party, or to a candidate, as people will understand...

UKIP IN Dover as I said have missed the boat, they could have made a killing and got 100s of voters turning to them this year they bring their leader down they should have showed him to the public done a walk around let the public see him and talk to him etc but no all they wanted to do is get their photo of them standing next to him what a wast, moving on from that the great weather we have had this year should have seen them out in the town centres and at a events doing what the reds are still doing now set up their table in the town centres showing the public and talking to them and have the persons there who are going to stand for them at the next local elections and the person who is going to stand for them at the next Gen/election sorry but they do not know what to do at a time like this. Now the weather will get cold and wet no one will want to stop and talk in the streets of open the door to them or if they hold a meeting at night geting to dark so again they will not get anyone there. You have to work very hard to get anywhere, all they have done is get a few letters in the press and a few photos that is no good get them no where on the day.And yes where are their candidates who are they?,do we know them,? how do they stand on local issues,? etc the list goes on of, if and buts and what they should have done or doing now,but in the end of the day it is all to late they miss the boat and will get nowhere sad but true.
With their set up now they could not spread jam let alone appeal to the public.

Have UKIP even packed up posting on the forum or have they closed down in Dover like the last chairman who was only there a few weeks .I now wished I had carred on because if I had UKIP in Dover would have been a force to wrestle with by now.

Mr Matcham, I do not need advice from a ego tripping, bunker dwelling ex member of UKIP...At the moment,we are signing up 2 new members a week..Nigel Farages' visit to Dover and Deal was a major success..Howard Mcsweeney noted at the time, that supporters and members met Nigel.....Mr Hansell, I see you are still doing your anti British, anti UKIP rants.. No mention of the Ex BNP Labour Councillor in Northampton...It is a waste of time trying to debate with Prima Donnas and Brain washed Dinosauers , who lurk on this forum.
