i started the thread to open up debate on the subject of previously dedicated socialist sympathisers switching to what is seen as a right wing party.

this came up before on the forum with the link in post 13 amid comments from blogger iain dale.

you are in a position to explain more than most on here.

 - Peter , it is not illegal to have overseas bank accounts. It is not illegal to have businesses overseas or invest overseas , see our pension funds. Presumably you have a pension.

 - So why is UKIP based in the EU building in Smith Sq. See ITN report

No doubt Nigel employs plenty of EU London based nationals to comply with EU employment laws.

Perhaps the membership don't know. Vic certainly did not.

Peter don't get me wrong I love the UKIP Labour surge.

 Long may you promote it.

 - the office is in the west country, most of if not all paperwork emanates from there.

smith square is much better positioned though - some excellent wetherspoons outlets nearby.

 - with respect peter you may be missing the point, of course you want to garner support from all quarters but up until recently it has mostly been disaffected blue voters.

there are many like the chap outside the theatre of dreams that are natural red voters but feel let down in recent years and are looking to your party as a natural home.

Getting back to UKIP The rows on here shows just how divided they are, so unlikely to do much in Dover, or country wide

 - Many Labour and Tory councillors have gone over to UKIP complaining about the whip policies that force elected members of local Government to vote as they are told.

We the People don't want automatons who act like many zombies marching in one direction: that of the whip of a central politburo sitting in Westminster.
 Why vote Westminster clones?
One might as well vote for genetically modified spuds!
