PMQs was a decent back and forth today. If your starting position was Tory then Sunak won; if it was Labour then Starmer won.
Beyond the theatre, Sunak confirmed that the fracking ban would remain in place, as per the manifesto (nobody tell Natalie she's been done like a kipper). This is the first test of the right - and will test the strength of the Braverman human shield.

Which is a bit of a shame but since Rishi is fending off all call for a GE by saying his legitimacy as PM is the 2019 election win he can't rip up the 2019 manifesto.

Bob
The difference between Clinton and braverman
Clinton was cleared but braverman was found guilty
I think he has given himself a problem which he didn't need to.
That said it's probably because the party is so divided that he's needed to make these types of appointments.
On the Fracking interesting he's stuck on that one as conservative run DDC refused to oppose it so same party , different decisions .

Re the hapless Suella, Jake Berry clearly gives a toss. Wasn't he someone quite important in t'party once? Just asking.

So the Home Secretary was in the wrong that is all but it is something the anti Sunak brigade on both sides can make a fuss about. I guess she made a mistake and has learnt not to repeat it, time to move on.
I am sure if it was even a moderate security issue the authorities would have called in the police and she would be under serious investigation.

Braverman was appointed for the sole reason of bringing the right of the Tory party on board with Sunak. It worked. Look at all the usual suspects and they are out defending the government, when just five minutes ago they were furious with Sunak. They've been blinded by Braverman for now, let's see how long it lasts....

Mr Berry - who served as party chairman under Ms Truss but was fired by Mr Sunak - has also questioned Ms Braverman's return to the cabinet.
He told Talk TV that Ms Braverman had sent a document "from a private email address to another MP, she then sought to copy in that individual's wife but accidentally sent it to a staffer in Parliament.
"To me, that seems to be a really serious breach - the cabinet secretary had his say at the time. I doubt he has changed his mind in the last six days."
A No 10 spokesperson has denied reports that cabinet secretary Simon Case - the head of the civil service - was "livid" about the appointment.
The BBC has been told that the home secretary has requested further briefings on email security.
Another row surrounding Ms Braverman is also brewing with Labour calling for a probe into reports that, as attorney general, she was investigated over the leaking of information related to the security services.
The High Court permits publication of the fact there was a leak inquiry, but the government has so far refused to comment.
The Cabinet Office has not responded to the BBC's questions about the leak inquiry including whether or not Ms Braverman was questioned, if the police were involved, or if anyone was arrested or questioned under caution. The attorney general's office also did not respond to queries.
Labour's shadow home secretary Yvette Cooper said: "The prime minister needs to say whether he knew about these allegations when he re-appointed her. Ignoring warnings about security risks when appointing a home secretary is highly irresponsible and dangerous. We need answers now."
Conservative MP Mark Pritchard - a former member of Parliament's Intelligence and Security Committee - also expressed his concern tweeting: "MI5 need to have confidence in the Home Secretary, whoever that might be.
"It's a vital relationship of trust, key to the UK's security and democratic oversight of MI5. Any breakdown in that relationship is bad for the Security Service and the Government. It needs to be sorted ASAP."
Sunak - "integrity, professionalism and accountability". No - a stitch up instead, unless you're to blinkered to notice one even when it's staring you in the face.

The idea of ANY Labour MP being worried about 'national security' and Braverman is a bit of a joke when they were actively trying to get Corbyn as our Prime MInister less than three years ago.
Is this honestly the best they can do?

I think the constant attempts to remind us all of Corbyn are lost on the audience. In one ear and out of the other. Corbyn is yesterday's news and people understand that.

A bit of a joke? The same old trope is rolled out yet again. When lies and double standards are clearly displayed, let's just point the finger back at Corbyn. You'll probably be doing in still in a decades time, so weak are your arguments.
Here's a better and more up to date example for you. How about becoming foreign secretary (did Corbyn ever occupy a high office of state?), Shrugging off all your security guard and sodding off to Tuscany for a crapulous weekend in the company of a former KGB officer and his son (your mate). And then admitting that you were too pissed to remember what matters you discussed.
The only joke on here is your manifest inability to see the wood for the trees at a time of the worst political failings of my lifetime.

Personal phone, wasn't it? There's a lesson to be learned. Or maybe not.

Personal 'phone or not, whilst the idea of Truss being Foreign Secretary was fairly ludicrous, the idea that any Foreign Secretary's 'phones - either work or personal- are not checked for such as Pegasus Spywear, is disgraceful.
