Much as I agree with the principle of cutting waiting lists to help patients, there is a bigger picture Roger.
At present the NHS must be getting good deals from the private contractors, the logic is that gradually the NHS will cut back on staff and facilities as things are working well with the likes of Spire healthcare. Once that happens the charges will rise and the effect will be longer waits for treatment.
We have to remember that private health companies first duty is to their shareholders not patients.

I don't think there's any evidence to support that theory Howard.
The main point must be FREE at the point of need (unless people have chosen to pay for private healthcare); everyone is paying for health provision through NI contributions and various taxes.

I see it as the Tesco effect Roger, run free buses to outlying villages then when the local shops have been put out of business the bus service ceases.

Nothing wrong with Clair as a candidate, she is bright and hard-working. Labour's problem is the intellectual bankruptcy of their present policies, and their abominable track record when last in office. If they change her as candidate, it's just re-arranging the deckchairs on the Costa Concordia.

They shot their selfs in Dover by ruling out men as a candidate its up to the members of the party to vote a candidate not be told its a lady only this time.

I never agreed with the lady person's only short list but we are where we are.
Clair is the most personable and hard working of the candidates but is stuck with the policies that her head office decrees.
do not underestimate the personal and party vote that she will call upon next May.

Another problem is a leader who looks and behaves like a Wallace and Gromit character.

Scratching my head wondering why on earth anyone would even consider voting for a party whose policies have led directly to the occupation of parts of Iraq by ISIS let alone campaign for them.
Still I guess promises of frozen leccy bills trounce anything else.

That Labour promise might be trumped by the fuel companies themselves, Eon have just reduced my dual fuel bill by a huge amount, nearly £50 a month. I only joined them at the end of last year as they quoted me £20 per month less than I was paying with Npower who wanted to increase my payments by over £20 a month.

With the fall in wholesale prices all our bills should be coming down.

I think Clair is her parents puppet. Nothing against her, nice lady and all that but when she opens her mouth Bryn Hawkins falls out. I have found Bryn a somewhat bitter pill to swallow on times.
