- 30 May 2016 08:58314122I had a friend who was in those days customs and excise and patrolled the coast looking for smugglers not human beings.Three is ridiculous. Yes I have friends and family who think a vote to leave will not stop these illegals.I think my view we as a country have made it too easy for people to want to live here.They will live in conditions which some of us would shudder at.
I've just had a memory recall when my late husband and I bought our first home a maisonettes in Slough we realised it was used by lots of foreign people some slept in the rooms by day and then another lot slept there at night.When we moved in the place was a tip .This was 1963. - 30 May 2016 09:23314124People taking turns with beds still happens today, locally in the Folkestone Road. Back in the late 60s Clarks had a 12 month guarantee on a pair of their shoes. One chap from Bangla Desh kept returning a pair clearly worn out well short of 12 months. It transpired that he and two friends did different shifts at their factory and took turns to wear the shoes that were in use 24 hours a day.

When will this stupid country finally accept that we NEED biometric IDs introduced within UK for access to ALL services. Get rid of the 'pull' factor and only then will you approach getting rid of illegal immigration. Rather well known about the blood feuds going back centuries between families and the police will have no info to work on. The ID card does seem important but failed before when it got out that the public would have to pay upwards of £100 each for one.

We Brits are simple people; call something an "ID card" and we instinctively say no. Call it an "Access to public services card" or some such and we will think it is a great idea.
